Re: Tailgate glass seal

To answer my own question for anyone else...... there is a gasket that simply pushes in to tidy the gap between the screen and tailgate frame.

6N2 sill required

Hi, I need a left hand sill for a 6N2 TDi, VW have discontinued them, and it seems they were using the 6N part number (6N4 809 675 G) anyway, All after market sills I have found have been for the 6N, and thet are a different shape. Would GTi sills fit, if I can find them? Anyone have a 6N2 sill layi...

Pinch the sides of the coupling and it slides off.

Re: passenger side window not working.

The loom in the door is a notorious weak point, wires break with opening and closing the door, as VW didn't put enough slack in the wiring. Broken and shorted wiring causes all sorts of random issues, like central locking not working, and windows not working, sometimes the driver side, the passenger...

6N2 Lower Rear Bumper Bracket

Does anyone here know if the lower rear bumper brackets (spot welded to the bottom of the rear panel) are available separately? I can't find them on the parts fiche

Re: AMF Limp Mode - Fixed?

UPDATE I got a valve from the local scrappy, and sure enough, limp mode has ceased and the 2000 rpm 'grunt' is back. Boost pressure is introduced into the top pipe if the valve and is vented straight thru the valve to the inlet pipe to the turbo, unless overboost is encountered and the solenoid is a...

Re: 6n2 1.4tdi intermittent misfire to full misfire lumpy running

TDi..... I doubt spark plugs are responsible for poor running.

Injector loom is a possibility. It's located under the cam cover, and you can see the end of it as a big circular connecter on the gearbox end of the cylinder head, it's easy to change if it needs to be replaced.

AMF Limp Mode - Fixed

We have a Polo 6N2, 1.4 TDi (AMF Engine) which has long felt lacking in power, and occasionally suffers limp mode caused by negative boost deviation, IE it's not generating the boost it should be. I have replaced all vacuum hoses (more on this in a moment), cleaned the egr and tested its function wi...

electrical headaches for 2001 polo se *FIXED*

I have sorted mine. There were two wires broken, a Black/White, which in turn becomes RED and supplies many components in the door, the other was, I think, Blue/Grey which connects to a window switch. The breaks were very close to the Multi plug end of the door loom and may be repairable in situ.......

Re: electrical headaches for 2001 polo se

Okay, some info you may find useful...I had the door panel off today and there was no supply to the micro switch, and using a continuity meter I could not find the wire from the micro switch to the bayonet connector on at door pillar....however running a separate 12v feed from the battery had the Ce...

From drivers door, drivers window wont work, central locking button locks, but not unlocks, and passenger window falls, but not rises.....but passenger window works fine from its own switch! Sunroof works fine tho. Oh and central locking does not work f...
