Went for...
Well, I went for a Fiesta ST - these are blooming great! Ford Service is impecable - they deal with problems at the dealership quickly and effectively - not like VW Service (or lack of it) and the parts are real cheap comparitively - not that I need to worry with a manufacturers 3 year warranty :) W...

My GTi goes
My lovely GTi is gone on Wednesday. I am going for a car manufacturer with a decent service record.
It's been a pleasure sharing info with all you guys.

Brakes and Pads
VW Service never did rectify my squeeking front left brake. It seems that the hot weather causes the brake pads to "stick" as the tolerance on the pads and caliper is so tight. Th brake pads then bind in hot weather or when they heat up excessively in the hot weather with driving and braki...

Really?
I have never had ANYTHING permanently FIXED by a VW dealer, rather they seem to keep your car for a day or more, spray a bit of WD40 on the problem and hope that cures it for a while (until you sell the car they hope  ). Well, its worked for me. The only competent thing I had done w...

And so it goes on...
The Pedal Box recall was not successful. I know one whose pedal box collapsed under heavy braking - after the new 6X pedal box was fitted :!: Customer Service in the VW dealerships is generally okay, though they don't admit to CREATING problems and rather have customers pay (and prove) it was the de...

Could have
You could have had mine... 2 door, but Red had only done 35,000 with me second owner. Just traded it in for a Ford - VW customer service made the decision for me.

Case in point
VW Customer service also denied any knowledge of Cambelt Tensioner failures OR customers complaining about the Pedal Box Recall. VW don't seem to care when it comes to complaints - I thought they were actually listening a month or so ago, but it appears they have taken a harder line on customers mak...

Poor VW Service cannot be tolerated
VW Service and Customer Service are appalling. The Pedal Box Recall was handled terribly by VW and its dealers, and what makes it worse is that VW are not prepared to compensate owners for their VW dealers poor workmanship, rather it is expected that the owners have to barter with dealers to fix pro...

Handling
I like the grip on the windy roads I drive on - its like a car on rails! the EDL certainly does it for me - I used to drive a Sierra XR4x4 2.9i and this had good grip, but the Polo GTi is even better (and the fuel consumption is better LOL )

It might be
Have you considered it might be the front wheel(s)? Take them off, grease the hubs and put them on flush again. It just might be they are not located correctly. Had this on my old car and doing this fixed it. Otherwise, maybe the steering bushes or the UJ on this steering. Did you have the pedal box...

Could be
Could be your clutch release bearing is knackered. Suggest getting the car into a garage to check it out.
