Re: How to find out if my 6N2 has ABS?

Just to add to this, my diesel polo has ABS although it is the higher spec one. Sometimes you'd have to brake harder than you'd expect to get it to fire, it seems pretty good.

Re: RS_GT's Green 6n2 + updates - new pics

It looks really tidy man. I think the engine bay is possibly the best bit. The B pillars seem kind of strange to me as its a 3dr .

Overall though, NICE

Re: Lozz the polo :)

Ha, christ I didn't notice at all, was distracted by the wheels completely. I've never seen it done before, it would look smooth but I can imagine it being a right pain in the arse parking, plus I do a lot of cycling and you've gotta watch out for bikes most of them are daft as anything and you wont...

Re: Polo Colour Concept Thread

Haha, Cheers guys. Yeah man they are pretty comfy, especially on these cold days when you can put the heated seats on :D . The back isn't a bad place to be either to be honest. I think I've only ever seen the green ones once before and that may even have been on a Mk3 Golf, its a pale green I think....

Re: Polo Colour Concept Thread

So found this thread languishing in the dusty end of the forum. Figured its about time I did some updating... Major updates = none. However I've got some things planned, I've decided to go back to the old OEM Radio and mine has the optional CD player and 6 CD changer. Although the last known diagnos...

Re: Is it possible/can it be done??

Wouldn't it be easier to add your own lights / wiring / timers. I'm not saying it would be easy but surely it would be easier. For example some fog lights that simply went into your own wiring and only worked for that purpose? Ok so maybe you don't have it quite like on the locks but its a timed swi...

Re: how do you add photos?

Hey mate little tip, to make sure the image has worked press preview if it loads your in. Just avoids you making an arse of yourself by it just saying 'Image' where a nice pic of your wheels should be!

1.4 TDI Service

Hey, I'm wanting to do a Service on the Polo but I've run into some difficulties. The main one being that I can't seem to find a manual for this engine (6n2 tdi). Thought I'd have a go at the air filter, thought it was the box to the left of the engine bay but after unhooking it all it appears to be...

Re: gearbox problems

I'm no mechanic mate but is there a notable problem with the car. I've got a faulty gearbox myself but I tend to drive around it for now. You can't change from 5th to 4th, it just wont have it. You have to push it towards 3rd then come back down, you get pretty quick at it to be honest. It will even...
