Get a Navman,saved me plenty of points,sometimes I'm so busy looking at the road I've not noticed those yellow boxes but the ping from the navman wakes me up...

Just a thought,the problems started when you changed the battery...is it a duffer?...are all/both the connections clean tight?...any of the battery mounted fuses suspect?

Good start but intermittent faults are the worst to find.....I take it the light goes OFF intermittently....when on ON or when door opens?
