I agree, rear discs are not going to make you stop any quicker.
I've been using Willwood 4 pots on 256 discs upfront, with Mk2 gti rear discs for a year or so on my G. The only benefit you'll see apart from looks, is I've now got a decent handbrake instead of the soggy bit of elastic I had before ...

Just found out today, the price of G40 TCA's has dropped in price!
Were £130 each, now £70 each :)
This works out to £140 the pair.
Now, if you buy the the standard Mk3 TCA's and the full Powerflex bush kit
