Re: My all white 6N2
actually found them for less than £100 from Germany, can't really ask for less
I hope I'll find a decent set of alloys later on, cause I'm tying the two mods together
Thanks for all your help Ben!

Re: My all white 6N2
Hmmm 30mm would probably be too high because I'm looking for around 40ish mm drop overall. The Sportline seem to be the ideal choice then
I hope the standard shocks can cope with them...at least for a few months.

Re: My all white 6N2
Service done today! new oil, spark plugs and filters all around. The fully synthetic oil really quietened the engine down, glad it was a cheap fix :) Next up will be alloys, and lowering. I've been looking at springs mainly because they're more suited to my needs. Question: when looking at the lower...

Re: My all white 6N2
Don't get me wrong, I think 16s are the perfect look especially with BBS RX1s, RX2s or the Dotz Mugellos. It's that I really don't think they're suited for our roads ;) Also not a fan of the ronals and the ats cups are quite expensive! However google led me to this pic (apologies to the owner for us...

Re: Mart!n's Danish GTI...
It may not be the biggest project, but by far one of the cleanest and best looking around!

Re: My all white 6N2
I've heard some horror stories with 195/40s and potholes...so I'm trying to keep it practical. Most of the main roads here are decent, but some of them are pretty terrible and I'm scared of constantly damaging them.

Re: My all white 6N2
I totally agreeee a proper drop is needed, but all in good time In the mean time I started the hunt for a set of alloy wheels. Should I go for the original RX2s?Mart!n-GTI-DK wrote:H&R 31013-3 Cup Kit 60/40 would do wonders for your ride...

Re: My all white 6N2
thanks d_austin974! the last 2 days were somewhat big for the car because finally the list of improvements started rolling :) Put in the clutch and the difference is night and day. It already has better pulling power at the lower end of the rev range, so I guess better acceleration overall. I didnt ...

Re: My all white 6N2
Thanks for the warm welcome guys :D I've always wondered why there aren't any GTIs in white, got my answer there lol. Would love a replica but parts are difficult to source here especially for the GTI. Infact I get most of my parts from the UK because they're a better bargain even with international...

My all white 6N2
Hi all! It's a 1.4 8V with no modifications whatsoever. Since I'm a student, progress is slow but finally I can start thinking about giving it a proper look. Anyway here she is http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg131/thornado007/My%206N2/DSC_0647.jpg http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg131/thornad...
