Millions of people run coilover with no issues. It depends how low you run them. The people who have problems with coilovers are those who run then too low. As with prices, as far as coilovers go you only get what you pay for. Personally I would never run anything else than, KW, Eibach or Bilstien. ...

Even if they do test for it, having a car remapped is only illegal if it isn't declared to your insurer. Can't see MOT centres asking for proof of that.

The only way I can see then detecting it is by going out on the road and logging the car, and if I was putting my car in for an MOT I would not be giving then permission to go out on the road with my car or put it on a rolling road and thrash it! I don't really understand what they are getting at ei...

I agree, there are folks on her who I've seen run 9" on a 16 but not on a 17".

Personally I wouldn't go anything over an 8. My rotiforms were 8.5 and they rubbed so had to raise the car quite alot.
