Thanks for the reply. Indeed it is a real shame that you are hundreds of miles away! I tried to sell the car, but as soon as people see the engine 'wobbling' more than usual and the blue smoke from the exhaust, they notice straight away. The scrappies round my way are useless, so i'm concerned about ...

Yeah it is a straight 1.4 8v swap. Sounds relatively simple.. the bolts bit anyway. Is the timing belt and water pump easy to change? I don't feel so confident about that lol I'm just worried about stuff like power steering pump etc.. i wouldnt have a clue about bleeding it or whatever, thats ...

Got a 'new' engine.. Had someone ready to fit but now he has suddenly decided he doesnt want to do it. Just wondering how easy it is to change the lighting behind the speedo etc to a different colour? I have seen a couple of people do it.. just wondering how easy it actually is?
