Boot central locking

I had the boot card off yesterday as my central locking pump makes a noise, just had the car back after my alternator belt sheared and took out my cambelt and compression so only just had chance to look at it....anyway the white box motor with part number 6N0862159C has a rod extending from it going ...

Re: Laura-Lou's Pretty Polo... Meet Poppy :)

Just seen your reply, I've actually got that ebay item on my watch list but its a bit more than i wanted to pay, the £22 you paid is reasonable though so will keep an eye on the seller you mention thanks.
Mines just got a standard dark grey plastic one, but should have a red one. I do quite like the ...

Yeah, worth sticking it all in the same thread.
Cobra alarm systems are worth looking into aswell, central locking and an alarm fitted too :)

Re: Airbox

you should only look for a 16v one. The 8v ones do not fit for sure cos the throttle body is positioned differently, but I bet that the GTI one will fit. I don't think the 6n will fit, not sure though
Ok thanks for that, still looking for one but they arent too easy to find. Have emailed loads of ...

Re: central locking

Airbox

I'm in need of a standard airbox for my 1.4 16v, including connecting pipes... is what i'm looking for specific to the 6n2 16v, or can i get one from a 1.0, 1.4 8v or GTi?
are the 6N 1.4 16v airboxes the same too? I'm thinking it would be better to have a wider scope to search

thanks

Re: central locking

my car did the opposite of this... it wouldnt stay locked (which where i live isnt the best thing to happen) and eventually my central locing pump which is in the right hand side of the boot behind the little hatch burned out... and it looked like water damage... if any of your freinds have a ...

central locking

This is going to be a shot in the dark but I thought I would post anyway in case anyone has any suggestions!

Basically, I sold my polo about 4 years ago and it had a cobra alarm fitted with the central locking working from the keyfob. 4 years later I bought it back and the cobra alarm isnt attached ...

Re: wheel arch plastic

I've been looking at this site for parts, seems to be quite useful and cheap too http://www.crashrepairparts.com/panels-lamps/parts/markid/892/volkswagen_polo_2000_2002

Does anyone know what difference of with or without a side member extension would be? mine is a 1.4 16v "s" if that changes ...

Re: wheel arch plastic

Here's the part number. Dont know whether or not its the same for the 6n.
Left Side - 6n0809961D
Right Side - 6n0809962D
The price given on my part software is £20.17 but the software is a few years old so the price will have gone up a bit.
Hope this helps.

Fantastic help thanks, i'll check out ...

wheel arch plastic

The plastic that covers the inside of the wheel arch on the n/s front is missing and I wondered if it was the same part for a 6N incase my local scrappies dont have any 6N2's? Seems like someone replaced the side repeater at some point and forgot about putting it back on, which results in the ...

Re: Gearbox gone again!!!

I have the 1.4 16v "s" 60bhp and even that proved too much for the gearbox!

Good news, you've just gained another 15bhp if it's a 16v ;)

you know i thought it was, but i'd also heard 16v's have 60bhp too and i typed my registration into my insurance website when i renewed and it came back with ...
