I`d suspect that the outer cv joint is seizing up.

oh yeh I know this..I've got a tdi 1.9 sport and the front dampers are shot,and a rear spring has snapped so thought that if anyone had a comp. set,then I could just do a complete change...cheers for the help anyway.

ok,is that just springs then or dampers too...?
if its dampers too,then any chance of a contact no. and I`ll give you a bell.

set of uprated/lowered suspension to suit tdi...no coilovers...pm or 07830464506

it will bleed itself,as it does when changing the filter..may be a bit lumpy initially but just leave it running for a while till it smoothes out

can anyone please tell me where I`ll find the gearbox code...I know it`ll be on the sticker in the boot,but where is it on the box ?

well today I finally got round to renewing my clutch + flywheel..I've had it all in the garage for around 9 months :shock: when I removed the original (I think.!.not bad with 97k on it) I found that the pressure plate had a spring/finger missing but there was no visible damage to anything which was ...

i have the seat ones in mine and with hindsight should`ve gone for the powerflex jobbies. with the seat ones the ride is very harsh and i can feel every bump and road humps are a nightmare,so much so that i don`t enjoy driving the car anymore apart from on smooth surfaces,which in this country is`nt...

205/45/16 is the correct size,i have them on mine,on what i think are the best (std) wheels

i`ve got one for my (std) 100pd sport but not fitted it yet, i got a mk2 golf g60 flywheel and a golf/corrado vr6 sachs clutch kit..
best kit for the job according to all the golf mk4 owners.

the rear lamps seals are available from vw as a complete kit...i.e 1 kit per side.. nearside kit is V6Q0998145 offside kit is V6Q0998146...each kit has enough seals to do 1 x complete lamp... i think they were around £8 per kit..my mrs polo had the same problems with water ingress into the boot/wet ...
