Anyway it seems like i've fallen prey to the polo timing chain slip after a routine oil change.The car is a 2002 1.2 with only 53k on the clock.

if you take the dash apart ul only disturb it and itl be worse lol this happened to me when i installed both my head units on both my 9n3 and 9n it will go away eventually

Creaking dam dashboard 9n grrr
I believe this is common on the 9n,,it creaks like mad with egine vibration and dips in the road,,it seems to be coming from behind the top tray towards the window.
Question is has anyone solved it,,if so any tips?? i thought about taking the centre dash section out and seeing if there was any ...

Thats what it is,they are told to do the jobs as quick as possible-ive met the owner and you can tell he like the cars in then out,,once my back is sorted i can get back on it.,,im going to invest a few more helper tools as to take the strain of it a little,,one is crawler,,and some higher stands ...

cheers ill hope someone comes along,,its mainly a bit of help with the removal of the door cards.
Trust me i wouldbe getting one with the estras,just this one has come up with 47k for 1k with 12 months mot/6month tax,so cant really refuse it,,im going to sell it on in a couple of months hopefully ...

interesting you ask this as im about to buy one of these cars myself,and part with a 1.4 polo (w reg) which i think is heavy on fuel,,i was hoping the 1.2 would be much better,,the one im buying has 47k on it.
