Re: Break-In...

I did it more or less to the mototune method and my engine seems to run ok, it ate a shed load of oil in the first 1000 miles but it seems like everybodies did on here so I'm unsure as to whether that had anything to do with how I broke it in. I'm beginning to think that you would need to be pretty ...

Re: Km/h > Mp/h & BT

Just had a look on the KUFATEC website and those prices are insane, also it says that you can have them on the RNS of varying types, but makes no mention of the RCD units, without the screen, does this mean it can't be retrofitted to cars with this system?

Thats a pain in the arse if true.

Mines three weeks old as well so I'll keep an eye out for it, it would be a recall if it happened a few times wouldnt it? I'm not sure how it works.

Re: new moda =D new member. lowering tips too

One of the lads on here used these: http://www.hids4u.co.uk/can-bus-sidelight-bulbs-501-w5w-led.html for his sidelights which is important as they dont throw up a warning light. I'm fitting these next weekend after I get paid! He also has a thread (Red Gti 6R progress thread, i think its called) whi...

yeah actually now that you mention it, it was probably more like 95 quid coz I filled with 98ron at service stations on the motorway so it was like £1.48 a litre haha, oops!

Re: Any one tried normal unleaded in their GTI?

Here, BP Ultimate is the only fuel that has a true 98RON against it because BP have a statement that states that BP Ultimate, with is 98RON rating is the minimum rating BP will manufacture the fuel to. All others mind you, say they are 98, but they have a tolerance eiither side of that, so you coul...

Welcome! sounds like its gonna be looking sweet, get some pics up this weekend hey. I really like the HID bulbs and LED sidelights that whitegtipolo has on his GTi and he's done that for under 70 quid I think, thats one way of making it look a bit tastier for cheap, works really well on brand new ca...
