Re: my white 6n2 :)

I rather like the wheels that are already on it! Size and shape seems to suit her quite nicely. Bit lower would help and a GTI splitter would make the front look a bit more aggressive. Im also rather liking the black and white look. Not sure on the white interior bits but it works in some new cars l...

Re: 6N2 GTI Mudflaps

Guys Dan isn’t exaggerating about the mud in the sills, I’ve just cleaned mine out whilst replacing a wing and fitting front mud flaps and there’s now two mounds the size of Ben Nevis where my car was parked. Both sills were totally filled with soil. I’m blaming this for the corrosion that killed th...

Just the spoiler or the whole tailgate??!! :?:

Hey guys I'm in two minds, I've got myself a tailgate off a GTi with the spoiler on it and I cant make my mind up whether to take the spoiler off and fit it to my tailgate or just fit the whole GTi tailgate. Obviously fitting the new tailgate would be more work but the spoiler would be VERY secure, ...

Re: 4pot brakes arrived :)

Theres carriers on their webpage but lots of different sizes, so would be good to know which ones to get, especialy if you find out they are alot more effective. Also what size spacers and are you having to use two sets? The breaks on these cars have always been my bugbare!

Cheers

Re: Verity's Reflex Silver GTI - Not in my Good Books :/

So gutted for you if you do have to break her. I love your car and the thought of it being parted out is awful. The whole way youve tried to keep it OEM+ I think just really works well on 6n2 gti's.

Heres hoping it something simple, tyres rubbing??

Re: Swticted live is Permamently live!

Well I gave it a whirl, swopped the red and yellow around and it made no difference, the radio was on constantly. So out came the wiring diagrams and I ended up sripping most of the dash out in search of a switched live wire. VW really like to wrapped their looms up well, so I ended up splicing into...

Re: Swticted live is Permamently live!

Yeah I know what your talking about with the red and yellow leads on the radio, but with the feed from the cars loom, both of the perm live and switched live leads are perm live regardless of ignition switch position so swopping the red and yellow over will make no difference!

Swticted live is Permamently live!

Hi Ive got a TDI 6n2 with a gamma unit in it and even with the ignition off and key out I can switch the radio on. Conversely this means I need to switch if off when I get out otherwise it will drain the battery. Ive just tried to fit a new head unit, Pioneer AViC-HD3II which doesnt have an off butt...

Re: These the right bulbs??

Yeah well welcome to the wonderful world of AMG ownership, hence shes kept for weekends now and Ive gone back to a Polo 6n2 after nearly ten years away for commuting. Ive been trying to remeber why I sold my Polo GTi in the first place and I cant remeber. Its was only 18months old when I got rid of ...
