I've a white 5 door gti on lease, standard apart from DAB radio and will be handing it back to vw leasing next spring. It's an 11 plate and rather than just hand it back to VW I thought someone might want to grab it for the appropriate sum ...

George H, I'm not too sure, I think there's a slightly different mounting plate for the rear, but I will investigate and find out if it fits a 3 door too. Watch this space.

Just checked, the rear bar will need a different foot pad kit. As a package it won't fit a 3door, but a couple of mods it ...

I've got a Thule roof rack kit for the 5dr that's only been used once and is in perfect condition (2008 pnwards) Let me know if interested and looking for at least 90quid. I'm based in Surrey, but might be in Northumberland till end of month.

Sorry Samba, I think I might have got too excited about an rcd310 and it wasn't really worth it. Fired up mine today and the rcd310 does have some functionality for Bluetooth. It's on the menu functions to switch it on/off. I think the only thing missing is to plug in the bluetooth kit as advertised ...

This is brilliant news, apparently the rcd310 now comes with Bluetooth built in for all the 2012 versions. This might save taking apart the car and plumbing the Bluetooth kit into it with all the associated wiring. Can anyone who works for Veedub give some more details. In the meantime I'm hot ...
