Re: Which bulb do I need?
That could be a possibility, although flashing could be part of the xenon unit if it's just a shutter opening to reveal more light?

Re: Undeclared mod in accident
At worst you can just pay the extra premium, it won't invalidate it. Same with anything that may be forgotten, but they will charge you the extra cost for each year you have insured with them.
On a non fault claim I literally wouldn't worry though.

Which bulb do I need?
A small story for you
Have had a Polo GTI 6R in candy whit, with no additional extras for last 14 months, enjoyed filling it up with oil just as much as I did petrol, however a lovely lady decided that my poor car deserved a head on collision last week which rendered it a Category B total loss ...

Re: Just got my car and it thinks the bonnet is open
Oh yes, I'm very much aware of the Potential issues this engine has
I've just checked my service book and it appears it has the CABE engine, or at least, it came with the CAVE engine. Next step is to check the actual engine stamp to confirm its not been changed

Re: Just got my car and it thinks the bonnet is open
I shall check when I get home
The car is late 2012 with 80k on the engine and it runs beautifully so I assume the engine issues have been solved

DRL Fogs instead of headlight
So I've just got my Polo GTI and unfortunately it doesn't come with xenon headlights so I am trying to fit as many white bulbs as possible so that it gets rid of the yellow tinge.
I think I've seen somewhere that it's possible for this car to use the fog lights as DRL instead of the headlight bulb ...

Thank you for all of your replies
I have today, discovered that it is a fault. I have taken a look at the mechanism and it seems there's lots of grit stuff in there. The garage thinks it might be from where it was pressure washed, although there are other bits of corrosion for example on the ...

Re: Confused
I noticed this too, but I've got a feeling it's going to be one of those things where people just won't budge on it!
e.g. .... people say that the mini's that were made after BMW took over aren't minis... errm, yes they are!... just they are owned by a different company!
The best bit is that most ...
