Re: Wing mirror for Indian polo
Indian-spec Polos are a bit thin on ground over here, so it's difficult to do direct comparison with a European-spec one... But let's try some remote problem-solving. :D First of all, the mirror cover is made of two parts: upper and lower cover. The LED indicator is an integral part of the lo...

Re: polo 6r new pics
That looks mean, in a good way of course! :) The stance is perfect (never mind driveability?), the wheels suit it very well, plus the red details (rear lights, GTI stripes) are a nice accent. All that's needed is a badgeless grille with the red stripes going the whole width without the badge breakin...

Re: Polo GTi multifunction steering wheel buttons retrofit
What spec car is this going into into that requires a new airbag loom? 1.2 TSI Comfortline without a MFSW. The new loom is needed to get the black MFBCM connector. And the two repair wires are needed to get LIN from J519 and +12V from fuse box. The poverty-spec versions don't have these two wires r...

Re: 1.2 Polo Match :D
Oh why would they need re-aligned? :s Because, for starters, you'll need to unbolt the lower balljoint from the suspension arm and those holes have clearance for adjustment. Virtually impossible to get them bolted back 100% identical (camber might change). Plus the change in geometry can affect the...

Re: Polo GTi multifunction steering wheel buttons retrofit
^^Cheers, mate! :D Today I received a delivery from Germany, containing the MF buttons and their control module: http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/ee394/juha_tm/VW%20Polo/mfsw_retrofit.jpg (The airbag wiring loom + two repair wires below I bought from my local VW dealer.) Still undecided whether t...

Re: New member - 2011 Polo 1.2 TSI
Opinions guys, all red 'TSI' or just 'SI' in red? All red. If you're gonna fake it, then fake it good! 8) Returning to my TSI: I'm now ready for the next winter. Earlier in the week I picked up a set of 195/50R16 winter tyres (Nokian Hakkapeliitta R), and today a friend fitted and balanced them for...

Re: 1.2 TSI - turbo to be replaced at 22500 miles
These cars are not cheap and you should expect better quality :x That is true. But then I must say that the high price does reflect in how they deal with warranty claims: at least in my case I've nothing but positive to say about how the VW service has dealt with the issues. It's all been absolutel...

Re: 1.2 TSI - turbo to be replaced at 22500 miles
OK, an update on the engine trouble: Had the Polo in for service today for the above mentioned software update to get rid of the "diesel clatter". They phoned me in the afternoon and told they'd done the update, but it hadn't made the noise go away completely. They had traced the remaining...

Not availble on 9n or 9n3 just 6r Not on 6R either. :( However, there's a guy in the Czhech Republic who seems to work at Continental/VDO who make the GTI instrument panels. I bought my brand spanking squeaking virgin new GTI instrument panel for my TSI from him, and for an extra sum of 20€ he woul...

Re: New member - 2011 Polo 1.2 TSI
Hey mate. Really like the car. I have done the "obvious" TSI badge thing on a GTI grille :D and have to say it looks great !!!!!!!!!! Sorry to say I prefer it to the ABT badge as it looks much more factory !! And yours aint an ABT tuned car no more than it is a GTI !!!! Sorry just ...
