Hi there. Was wondering if anyone would know if the 6n2 1.6 16v Polo GTI engine would be able to fit straight into the bonnet of the same car, but 1.4 16v version? And if so, what would also be neccessary to replace with GTI parts under the bonnet?

Hi. I've had my 6n2 polo for about 6 months now, and have recently noticed a distant whirring sound when i go above around 40mph, and gets louder when i disengage the clutch.
