Re: Can't wait to get one!

I don't spend a lot of time searching for wheels lol and I went on autotrader to look for other cars like the Renault clio for example but their insurance group is 4 (based on 1.2l 100h engine) but the polo 1.2 70ps is in group 3.

Anyways, I will continue looking for a car after January exams ...

Re: Can't wait to get one!

I'm not buying a brand new car of course, it will be a second hand car. I appreciate all the info you lot gave me and I will consider maybe changing to a different car but there is not really any cars at the market now that I really like. I dont really see how insurance for a 1.2 70ps not TSI can be ...

Re: Can't wait to get one!

Ahh right. One reason why I don't like diesel is because they don't sound good. There's a 1.2 TDI engine that I was considering to getting it because of the good mpg but if it does sound bad, I'll stick with the petrol :)

Re: Can't wait to get one!

Does anyone here have a video to show the exhaust sound for a diesel engine? Struggling to find one but I want to have a listen to see if they sound like a normal petrol engine or a loud diesel engine. Preferably the 1.2 TDI 75ps engine please if you can. Or anyone with that engine, can you please ...

Re: 1.2 Polo Match :D

Why colour are you changing your fog lights to? I've seen some white polos with yellow fog lights and blue lights like yours. They look amazing!! Will look very nice as well with black roof and mirrors and wheels :P

Oh dear, customising cars is like art lessons :P

Re: Can't wait to get one!

Yeah I'll just go for the 60ps version and make it look nice rather than fast.

Re: Can't wait to get one!

I might end up getting the 1.2 60ps version... Yeap it is slow... 0-62mph in 16.1 seconds... But I think first cars are meant to look like and not fast... There's a 1.2 75PS and 0-62mph in 13.9 seconds but it's diesel and I'm not sure about a diesel for my first car... What are your views? 1.2 60PS ...

Re: Can't wait to get one!

I'm getting like 18" wheels so maybe 35mms will do. I don't know yet as I haven't got the car so I will need to look into that deeper when I have the car. Yeah, I went on ebay to look for adapters. Found 5x100 to 5x112 but they cost a lot... like £100 a pair..

Re: Can't wait to get one!

Thanks for the replied everyone :) I will need to look into insurance then... Nevertheless, I'm still getting a polo :P

About the wheels I've mentioned in my first post, what offset should I get? I'm really stuck here :( but those polos in the picture are very neat and tidy! I'll look into H&R ...

Can't wait to get one!

Hello everyone,

First of all, I am new here and I am 16 years old at the moment. But in May, I will be 17 ( yes, in May 2012 :) ) and I want to get one of these wee polo for my first car. I am looking at the SEL Model with 105hp and hopefully in white :D. I have a few questions to ask though, what ...
