Re: Using Oil!
Sounds good! I was midly worried when it used oil in the first 2k miles - but seems ok now :) Hope everyone gets theirs sorted quickly. I see a lot are coming up for sale recently.
Yeah it's insane. When I was looking for the GTI I also looked at the used ones. Not a single one here in the ...

Correct, heared today that the ,,fix'' also has arrived here. Car from my mate is going for the fix next week!
Something with a new crankcase venting system indeed.

Re: vw polo gti fuel
V-power = RON97
Ultimate = RON98
Here in the Netherlands Ultimate is the cleanest and highest octane you can get, our German neighbours got RON100, lucky bastards!

No more oil consumption on mine. Still on the same level after 2000 miles with 0W40!

Re: Tyre wear
I think I'll replace them for Falken FK-452's. Reading decent reviews about them and they don't cost you 130+ euro's a tire.

Re: Tyre wear
I'm almost at the 16.000 kilometres. My front tyres are looking the same like yours. Need to be switched to the rear.
That's what you get with front wheel driven cars with spicey power! :P
Edit: It looks like your wheels are not standing straight. More with some camber. The inside has way more ...

Re: Hazards come on after braking?
I thought every 6R has this safety feature. Atleast my 6R GTI does.
Pretty handy feature indeed, or you rather want someone to crash in your rear.

Re: 6R Polo GTI hybrid WMI project

Re: Using Oil!
Why is this not possible? Oil gets pretty hot and the fumes go out trough the ventilation that's connected back into your intake. So you will get oil condensation there. Just let the oil heat up and give it some spanking a couple of times. Will be better than driving it like an old granny the first miles.
