Re: Removing rear windows on 3 door?

you need to cut the mastic from the inside that bonds them in. you get a tool for doing it, think you can buy them on ebay just search for windscreen removal tools, it looks like a Stanley blade with a 90 degree bend in it.

Re: Trouble smoothing the badge hole off on my Mk4 tailgate

id tack weld a thin palte of metal to the back of the boot from the inside. warping can be avoided by only doing a little bit at a time so as not to let the metal get too hot, this should then make the filler work better as its got something to stick to at the back of the whole

Re: Clutch and Gearbox Problems

shouldn't be too technical to replace just a little tight for space. the gearbox on my mk2 golf started wining and it turned out to be the bearing on the input shaft of the gearbox. mine was quiet when the clutch was in and when i let the clutch out the noise started

Re: Stuck in 5th gear

have u tried disconnecting the gear linkage and removing it from 5th directly from the box. theres a small chance that the linkage could have slipped and it is it that is stopping it coming out of gear

Re: 6n2 GTI Internals

from what i know the bottom end will need pistons and rods if ur wanting 200 and over and as with the head apparently if you replace it with the 1.4 16v head it is stronger and can hander more power than the gti head
