Re: Polo GT TDI 9N mapping in Berkshire
I can definitely recommend REVO as mine was great! Any reputable stage 1 map will be much the same as the other really.
Not sure who are stockists in your area but im sure you could find one quite locally.

Re: Tom's TDI
Wow, so its been nearly 2 years since I updated this! Still got the car.. Last time I posted I was talking about going down the GTB2260 route etc. Well its come a long way and gone back a bit since then! The Weitec coilovers were leaking oil out both fronts. I chose to scrap them as the ride was cra...

Re: Alloy size?
I dont know where this myth has come from about increasing alloy size makes the car look lower - it doesnt. If anything it will look more ridiculous on larger wheels and on stilts. The rolling diameter of the wheel/alloy combo will be the same if on 14's or 17's. Assuming you use the correct size ty...

Re: Red Gti, Cup Bumper, Bilstien B14, Nurburgring
Car looks great! I agree the Cup bumper would really set it off.
How are the bilsteins? I was considering a set myself. Any reason you chose the coilovers over the spring and shock set up?

Re: My candy white polo GTi build thread
This looks very tidy..
Make sure you post up how you get on with fitting the brembos under those Rotiforms! Ive always wanted a set but thought they didnt fit over the Brems..

Id say it depends if you want to mod for looks or speed.
Personally id go for the GTi given the choice!

Re: brembo GT (leon cupra R) brakes - wheel fitment
Its spoke clearance with the Brembo's thats the issue. I had some 7.5j et32 17inch alloys that wouldnt clear them because of the spoke style.
However TT comps (which are the same size) fit right over with room for spare!
Ive also used Team Dynamics Pro Race 3's.

Re: Clutch has had it.
Unless thats an uprated clutch including fitting.. Its a bit steep.. A stock replacement should be considerably less. I imagine a stock clutch to cost about £250ish and fitting should be no more than £200 +vat Assuming its the 1.9tdi 100 AXD i believe Darkside Dev can supply and fit a replacement cl...

Re: Tom's TDI
Yeh i got lucky! Id only just got new shocks for the front coilovers too! I always chop and change between the idea of going for something different.. Ive taken the car so far i feel like i might as well finish it. Cheers on the wheels :) it was purely brake clearance that made me get shot of the re...
