Re: VW Finance changes
[/quote] I would imagine that the only way you would be able to do that would be to get finance from elsewhere and pay off the remaining finance agreement with VW. You signed an agreement so why would they want to change it if as I assume it benefits you and not them. [/quote] Yea I got a reply from...

Re: Disappointed by the standard stereo? Try this!
Pictures say it all :) Hey OomStu Do you have any wiring diagrams you followed? Thanks I dont sorry, had it installed by a professional service. I stood by and watched but couldn't replicate it if asked. They got the power from the boot because the battery is there but somewhere in the front passen...

Re: Polo Beats Amplifier Location
I got in to the compartment but it's just a small amp with a VW multi connector in to it.
I just feel like the sub can't take the power and distorts. Yea i also have knocked mine down to minus 4.

Polo Beats Amplifier Location
Does anyone know the location of the amplifier or have any wiring information for the Polo Beats? I have located the sub woofer and tried to get access into the other plastic surround by taking off the nuts but the case is clamped shut. Is it possible to connect a different sub woofer to replace the...

Re: [Guide] Hardwire Dashcam [With Photos] MK10 (AW)
I was wondering why you didn't tuck the wiring in from dashcam to the headlining before realising you don't have the auto dimming rear view mirror and the wiring cap and tube for it. Step 14 seemed to be fiddly for you, it was one of the least fiddly for me - did your wiring sit directly behind the...

[Guide] Hardwire Dashcam [With Photos] MK10 (AW)
Hi all In this guide, I hardwired my dash cam in to the fuse box. My purpose was to neatly enclose the cable so it didn't dangle down the centre of the car and in to the 12v cig lighter. The fuse I used powers the dash cam on with the ignition and shuts down when the key is taken out Part i had were...

Re: Mapping the fuses - need your help!
Not yet, i'm in Mexico on holiday right now, and was working away for a week prior to that. I have all the pics, just need to string some words of explanation in between. It's all very easy except the end of the feed from the main car body to the boot for the rear cam (not a bother if you only have...

Re: Mapping the fuses - need your help!
I think that I have my preferred fuses to tap: permanent positive to in car F6 (central locking) and switched positive to in car F55 (cigarette lighter and sockets). Once I try it out and confirm correct operation, I will be done and i'll be able to knock up an installation guide for wired in dashc...

Re: Dashcam cable routing
I hardwired dashcams into my current Golf and the A1 which is now swapped out for the Polo GTI+. Is yours front snd back, or just front? Does it have battery management built in or a parking monitoring function? If it has parking monitoring but no battery management function the you'll need a "...
