Re: Bluemotion EGR valve replacement - MPG

Thank again all, Interesting trip into work yesterday which consists of 8 miles of dual carriageway and 3 miles of rural roads. I switched off the air con and driving steady at 60mph on the DC the MPG was up to 80. My conclusion is that the hot weather hasnt helped the MPG with the air con on consta...

Re: Bluemotion EGR valve replacement - MPG

Thanks.
First time the EML light came on was in March 2013 at about 27k. This was diagnosed as an exhaust sensor and was replaced under warranty.

Update on the MPG. It seems to be getting back to normal and on a normal drive into work this morning it showed 70mpg on the MFA.

Cheers

Re: Bluemotion EGR valve replacement - MPG

Thanks. I'm pretty sure, that is I'm looking at the readout on the MFA and I use both the No 1 & No 2 setting. I reset it before a long journey or use it to check my daily commute. I've been keeping a log when I refuel so I can check it long term. I will be getting back to them next week as it's...

Re: what to look for when buying a vw polo mk2 breadvan?

I've owned many over the last 25 years and they are great cars and cheap and easy to maintain. The petrol tank filler neck rusts as its located in the rear wheel arch and mud gets trapped and it rusts out. The tell tale sign is when the tank is filled up it leaks out and the smell of petrol. Sometim...

I have a 2011 Bluemotion and for punctures it comes with some gungy and a compressor and to save weight there isnt a jack or wheel brace  I would like to buy from the dealers a space saver, jack and tool kit and hoped one of you might help me with fitting them into the boot. Bluemotion fuse layout

Hello, I have just blown a fuse in my 2011 Bluemotion and found to my astonishment that there isn't a layout diagram for the fuse box in either the car or the manual. Manual said I need to go to the dealers to get it sorted and IMHO thats just ridiculous. Does anyone have a diagram showing what the ...

Re: Polo Bluemotion

Thanks everyone for your help. I've been digging deeper into the DAB and Bluetooth and it appears from other VAG websites that it can be retrofitted quite easily by buying the DAB specific RCD310 or RCD510. The multifunction steering wheel can also be retro fitted with a bit more work. My plan is to...
