Got a 1.0 6n2, GTI worth it?

So yeah, the subject is pretty much explains itself;

I've currently got a 1.0 6n2 and always been wanting a GTI, but after running through other forums, is it really worth buying a GTI?
Will I get a massive difference in performance? and satisfaction from the other GTI goodies!

Just swap the handle from your old tailgate.
The old Tailgate is in storage somewhere and could be a bit hard to get hold of

what ive done on my car, is wire up a boot popper, aswell as the handle, using your rclick, wire in a relay and to the boot popper, but you can pop the boot whether its locked or not... or wire up one of your central locking wires to the origional central locking actuator on the gti boot? Do you no...

Because I brought my GTI tailgate, is there anyway I can open the boot without the key! Because I've lost the only one for it :S

The whole box doesn't have to come out does it?
Seen some vids on clutches, majority you can do by pulling the box out only a little to get the alingment tool in

Lights sorted, Now I've got a tapping sound when the clutch is pressed all to the floor, & has anyone ever tackled a clutch on a 6n2 and lived to tell the tale?
