Re: engine conversion help

Yeah I'm pretty sure you'd only need engine loom, there are probably a few threads on this forum or clubpolo detailing a conversion; if not then just ask Alex Perkins who seems to know everything there is to know about these cars!

Re: engine conversion help

As far as im aware, anything that isn't a 6n2 engine will require a loom rebuild to make it work with the clocks. Even between 6n2 engines you'll most likely need the loom matching the engine, but not the interior loom as they are the same (on the engine side of things at least) I'm sure some of the...

Re: Fitting Electric Windows

From partial experience, I can say that the doors are the easy part, the interior is going to most likely require a dash out job.
Unless you run your own wiring for 12v+, and drivers side switch to the passenger door.

Re: Clearance between strut

To be honest, I think it depends how lowered you are. Afaik default wheels have 45 offset, im running 7j 15" borbets with 35 offset and they have a fair amount of room, although I couldn't tell you precisely. 8j=20.32cm /2=10.16cm +.25(posi offset)=10.41cm, so you've got just over 10cm between ...

Re: Marco Polo Build

Little bit more progress recently, now have front speakers wired in, running from an amp in the boot :) Oh and got my headunit back after being repaired. I think I want to do a tablet install eventually though, so much more functionality i.e GPS/satnav, Browser, music, movies n all that jazz for aro...

Re: Marco 6n2 - Seb!

-Managed to get my headlining done today, with some help :) Black suede may be an overdone copycat mod, but that is definitely for a reason! I'll be sure to get some pics up tomorrow. -Fitted the flat center caps to the borbets, really changes their whole look; I was really surprised tbh Getting my ...

Re: Replacement seats

Any seat from a polo/golf sized car can be made to fit, by chopping and welding the 6n2 or equivalent brackets on to them.
But as Alex said, the list at the top will straight fit the front, and for one I'm positive on; Ibiza rear bench will need the rods trimming to fit.

Re: Seb's 6n2 :)

Car is finally on the road.... not quite sure what I have been doing the past year to be honest :/ But, I'm now insured, taxed and MOT'd as of yesterday, so actual progress can be made on getting body/spraywork done, interior cloths and audio setup! New seats a while ago, probably will get them trim...

Re: gti splitter and boot

If there was a GTi model made in the colour of your 6n2 (Black magic, Red, Silver, at the very least), Then it'll likely be cheaper to just buy the GTi boot from ebay and fit it to your car :)
EDIT: Rather than buying a spoiler, spraying it, drilling your boot and then tiger sealing it on!

Re: Airbag light, resistor 6n2 ?

Ok if it comes on again then i'll try 4ohm, thanks :) To remove the original wheel you need a real stubby and WIDE flathead screwdriver, maybe 2" long? Then twist wheel 90degrees left, push the screwdriver in the hole at the 'top' located in the rear of the wheel, and apply pressure until the s...

Airbag light, resistor 6n2 ?

Hi everyone, Still doing my 6n2 project car, and since the airbag light was on since I bought it; I decided to replace my worn standard wheel with a Momo. So the issue is, I can't seem to find the correct resistance to cancel the airbag light out, tried 1.8 and 3.3 ohm, both seem to work for a while...

Re: 6n2 Grey first car/ attempted build thread

Love the colour and it seems to be in good nick which is always nice :)
So, good buy! minus the headlights which aren't to my taste, but to each their own.

For the front doorcards, just buy electric windows! :p
Easier said than done tbh.

Good luck and hoping to see some nice updates :)

Seb.

Hi mate, do you still have the front+rear seats?
If so, how much and would you deliver/ship?
Thanks, Seb.

Yo thanks for the reply man, And Yeah my set up shakes the whole boat man, Hard, and I will get round to fitting the universal kit soon, it's just a matter of getting the time, But most of the wiring's done, I chopped a little out the cow from the door to the car because there wasn't enough space b...
