i fitted this (broke 2 clips in the process) there are very delicate clips on the inside of the lid!

Re: Footwell lights
They are not installed in my new MY13 GTI 6r. I'm quite disappointed in this, as they were fitted as standard to my older, "lesser" MY12 TSI.trigg123 wrote:Are there footwell lights in the gti 6r? Can they be done?

Re: Footwell lights
I just picked up my brand new MY13 Polo GTI and was very surprised to discover it does not have footwell lights installed. My MY12 Polo TSI that I just traded against the GTI has them as standard. Did the GTI never have them? Or is it a cost saving measure in the newest cars? Seems weird to me that ...

Re: Are You Using Oil?
If it were me, I would go for the oryx white one and try and strike a deal. Suprised that an August car still has a CAVE engine. Despite improvements always go for the later spec.
That was my conclusion as well. I managed to twist my dealer's arm to knock another £250 off. So I've bought a 5-door ...

Re: Are You Using Oil?
Hi Simon,
Yes - newer cars have the CTHE engine designation (From May 2012), even those have had subtle revisions to combat high oil consumption but it is much improved over the early CAVE engines.
I had a replacement engine last December and I am much happier now, no burning oil from what I can ...

Re: Are You Using Oil?
GTI- Pamplona, Spain.
Confirmed. I was in the Christchurch New Zealand dealership today and I got the parts department to feed the chassis number of a 5-door GTI into the system. It was built in Pamplona, Spain. My 5-door 1.2 TSI is built in South Africa. this would leave me to believe that all ...

Re: Are You Using Oil?
Thank you, that's reassuring. Are RHD Polo GTIs built in Pamplona? By inference, the comments following this video https://www.youtube*.com/watch?v=eDQ561iIbvU imply that RHD Polos destined for the New Zealand market are built in South Africa, but I don't know if this is means all RHD Polos are ...

Re: Are You Using Oil?
Having enjoyed my 1.2TSI Highline for 12 months I'm very seriously considering a trade in to a new GTI (MY13) my dealer has in stock on a good deal. This thread and others similar on alternative sites have given me some serious pause for thought. I've got a couple of questions that I hope someone ...

Re: 1.2 TSI - turbo to be replaced at 22500 miles
Quick update on my posting of 25th July 2012. I had 2 further "limp" mode experiences in the period Aug-Dec 2012. These were reported to VW and a further software update was issued and applied to my car in January, now with 7,000KMs on the clock. In the 3 months since this latest update, the car has ...

Re: 1.2 TSI - turbo to be replaced at 22500 miles
I just had this occur for the 3rd time in 6 months, with the car (approx 10 months old and 8,000KMs) going into limp mode while driving perfectly normally under light load. Switch off and switch back on again and the problem clears. I've already had the spacer and ECU upgrade done a few months back ...

Re: 1.2 TSI - turbo to be replaced at 22500 miles
So, my Jan 2012 1.2TSI has twice had a very similar experience to the OP. The first time this happened was about 3 months ago with 2,000KMs on the clock. I was driving along in urban traffic, under normal, light acceleration, when suddenly the warning chime sounded, 3 lights illuminated (EPC, TPM ...
