Re: 6N2 Tablet Install
I was gonna mount the head unit in the glove box, but when I took it out I realized there's not much space behind the back walls of the glove box. I also thought about putting the headunit under the front passenger seat, but too many wires to extend and run there

6N2 Tablet Install
So since I couldn't find anyone that has done a tablet install on their Polo, I took the liberty of doing it myself. Went to the breakers and got another panel where the air vents and head unit sit. I taped off the head unit opening to the right size for the 7inch tabet (it was slightly bigger than ...

Re: New From Zimbabwe
Quick Update: While I was up at the quarry I had to take her off the asphalt for a bit,,, Not bad off-roading skills for a 13 year old Polo :D http://i1326.photobucket.com/albums/u644/mgoldhawk/IMG-20120814-WA0000_zpsb17fde60.jpg This evening I finished restoring my headlights, clear coated ad all, ...

6N2 Door Card Re-trim
Has anyone re-trimmed their door cards on the 6n2's? I took my dad's old leather and suede upholstery from his Dodge (he decided he wanted full leather), and I'm planning on getting them re-upholstered to fit my Polo. But I want to replace the cloth inserts on the doors with leather ones. Any clue o...

Re: Guide to changing Engine temperature sensor on Polo MKV
That's what i said to them!! but they tend to become very idle when a customer wants something specific.. I eventually got the part "Quality Part", which is a German brand called Vemo?? Anyways, will have a go at replacing it this afternoon..

Re: Guide to changing Engine temperature sensor on Polo MKV
I have managed to find one for US$65, but they say it's a "Quality VW Part", and our only VW dealership say they no longer stock the part nor can they source a genuine one for me

Re: 6N2 From Zimbabwe
So today I decided to head up to an abandoned asbestos quarry that's been flooded (perfect for recreational diving), and on the way back I ripped a 2inch hole in my tyre courtesy of our *fantastic road conditions*. I'm currently rolling on 185/55/R14's, and was wondering if the 195/60/R14's I have l...

Re: Known/common faults
The top of the runner was broken so thats why the metal cable kept coming out, so I used this stuff we have called Prime Bond (its like a powder and adhesive combination pack thats used for repairing cracks or holes in pretty much any plastic or metal) and just held the cable in place.

Has anyone put in a 7inch tablet in place of the head unit space and moved the headunit into the glovebox? Am thinking of doing that at a later stage....
