Sure I'll take some pictures this week / weekend
The Exclusive bade was put there for some photography I was doing, it looks quite cool, but means nothing you can pick them up for about £15
The MDI and aux-in functions all work flawlessly - the only thing that needs some work is the voice control ...

Re: Extras or retrofit?
I've put the RNS-510 into mine...
It's a very simple job, just pull out your RCD310, sick a GPS antenna somewhere under the dash, put the RNS 510 back in. Functions like the glovebox MDI and aux-in work perfectly. great upgrade and cost me less than £450!
VW want over £2000 for that!

Here you go...

I've connected the negative (black) to the negative contact for the center bulb.
Then the positive (red) to the positive of the driver's reading light bulb.
By doing it this way, they're easy spots to hook crocodile clips onto, and the LEDs will ...

Re: Dashboard lighting circuit
Yeah I'll take some pictures on Saturday but I'll try explaining...
First, get to the main dome, you'll notice that all of the bulbs just twist into position on metal mounts.
Thome metal mounts are the contacts for the bulbs, so essentially all you have to do is have your wires touching those ...

Re: Dashboard lighting circuit
I was thinking of jumping onto the bulb behind the cigarette lighter ring, that should hopefully do the trick...
Does anybody know how to get to that bulb?
Thanks

Dashboard lighting circuit
I'm adding some lights...
I've put LED footwell lights in successfully - the front dome lights have extremely handy exposed connections to hook some wiring onto, so I have some 12V LED strips that fade on and off with the dome lights when the doors open / unlock etc (was very easy with a pair of ...

Re: Fitting RNS510
Just finished fitting it
Took less than 30 mins...
Pop-off the trim, remove the screws, remove RCD310, disconnect the cables, fit the GPS antenna, connect the cables to the RNS510, slot it into place, put the screws back and fit the trim back.
All done and works perfectly! Can't wait to spend ...

Re: Fitting RNS510
Sweet!!
I might take some pics and post the whole process if I can be bothered...
Where did you mount the GPS antenna? I plan to place it above the central heater vents, I've found out how to get to that spot
Thanks!

Fitting RNS510
Hi Guys,
Just ordered an RNS510 part number 1T0 035 680 H - the latest 2012 version.
Has anybody installed an RNS510? My Polo currently has a RCD310 (standard 2011 Polo Match system with MDI)
I've read in some places that some vehicle coding may be required, but I can only really find resources ...

Re: VW Offering LED DRL Retrofit
I'm looking to get them installed - Overall are you happy with them?
They've quoted my £537 for parts & fitting which seems a bit steep so i might have to have a chat with them about that lol!
I think I'll clarify beforehand that the dipped beams will be de-activated.

Coming home lights - special technique?
I've read in a few places that the Polo 6R has a special technique for activating coming home lights...
People have said if you flash the full beam after removing the key from the ignition, the fog lights will illuminate until 15 seconds after the car has been locked,
I've read it in a few places ...

Any update on the DRLs? Did they manage to resolve and de-activate the dipped beams?

Polo reversing camera badge
Hey guys
So I know you can get the clever reversing-caemra-in-the-badge fitted as a factory option on some VWs - is it possible to fit into the Polo 6R?
http://joeallen.pro/badgecam.jpeg
I don't know if it becomes a problem because the badge is also the boot release.
Thanks guys!
