Has anyone else had this problem? for the past 2 days ive driven to the train station, tried to get out as normal and the door handle feels as if it isnt catching to unlock the door - results in me having to climb out the passenger side. Can cold weather cause this? Its been -4oC here the past 2 ...

Yeah id like to be able to turn it off, it doesnt seem to clear the windscreen any faster anyway. Could it damage the A/C eventually if you've just been putting it on for a second then turning it back off??

Hey, I've noticed when I turn the blowers onto the windscreen the aircon comes on automatically. Or sometimes driving along the motorway with the blowers on but no aircon, i'll look down and suddenly its turned itself on. Is there any way to disable this? it's a bit annoying having to turn it off ...

Hope this helps , basically emailed VW and asked about getting it fitted at the dealer, this is their reply:

Where abouts do you live! Awesome gti in manchester fit cruise control and am sure most vw specialist will if vw them selfs wont :)

Glasgow so no good for me sadly. Phoned up the dealer and they seemed willing to do it but apparently the software is undergoing an update because it kept setting ...

Its the match 1.2 60ps, no point in getting anything higher I only drive at around 55mph so anything else is wasted on me.

Would the dealer be able to get this part or would I have to do it myself do you think? And could they refuse to fit it?
When I asked about getting the sensor pack they said it would be a 3 month wait but no mention of fitting cruise control later on
