Re: Fitting 16" wheels to my 6n2 gti - Problem
Had a set of greenstuff pads on my gti & they did nothing but squeal, popped some pagid pads in & no squeal what so ever ...... The greenstuff pads need a bit of heat in them to not squeal & they produce so much dust.

I know it's not listed, but I'd be interested in the A pillar trims if available .

Re: Jon's Gti - small update
Just a small update, managed to get hold of another GTi steering wheel with red stitching and after giving it a good clean (stitching was filthy) and leather treatment it came up pretty well & looks great fitted. Before http://i.ebayimg.com/t/Genuine-VW-POLO-GTI-6N2-Steering-Wheel-Leather-Red-St...

Re: Jon's Gti - Wheel refurb done & on car ...
I keep meaning to paint the rear calipers but some how keep forgetting  Will be getting some 40 profile tires when these need replacing as their 205/45/16 at the mo, I think my next few jobs will be making a sub box & amp rack, sorting out the peeling grab handles, quite fancy some charcoa...

Re: What's everyones MPG these days?
On a motorway run it can manage about 40-44mpg, if I drive it like a nun around town then it's bearable at around 28-32mpg but if I drive it like I stole it the fuel gauge goes down quicker than a Thai hooker. The V-power nitro fuel does make it feel a lot more responsive & seems to get better m...

Re: Jon's Gti - Wheel refurb done & on car ...
Well after a few ups & downs I finally managed to get the wheels refurbed, tires back on & fitted to the car. They took a serious amount of work to get up to scratch, I looked like a coal miner after a hard down pit after using the polishing wheel  & my fingers are still devoid of...

Jon's Gti - Slight audio upgrade
Hi all, been lurking on here for a while now & thought it was about time I showed my GTI. It's a 2001 5 door with 132000 miles on the clock, full service history & picked her up in October 2012. Since owning her I've replaced the gearbox with a fully rebuilt unit, given her a full service &a...

Re: 6N2 bits and bobs :)
£250 is a bit steep fella, considering I'm looking to refurb them & there's a set of 16" RxII for £300 with virtually brand new tyres ....
