Ah right. That confirms it then. I noted the engine no started CZEA on some paperwork in the doc wallet
Thanks very much

Re: Polo GTi or GT
Thanks for your post. He likes the interior and particularly the dashboard of the polo over the Ibiza. That's what swings it I think

Identifying power output on 64 plate GT
Is there some obvious way of finding whether a 64 plate (reg Nov '14) is a 140 or 150bhp. I can't find anything of reference on this

Re: Polo GTi or GT
He has seen the logic of a GT now, he's only 20 so the little "i" on the end does make a difference as we know but for his £12500 he can stretch to 150bhp GT with main dealer warranty etc. At that money we were looking at GTis 18 months older without a decent warranty and with the associat...

Martin
Thanks for your comprehensive reply, I think you are telling me really what I was thinking about the 2 cars. Although the Gti has some nice touches I'm not sure we are brave enough to go into the unknown with a 2 or 3 year old car with no warranty.

Polo GTi or GT
My lad is looking to swap his 1.2 Corsa for something a little less numb and has been looking through the ads at the 6R Gti DSG. Up to about 2012 model year. Or about £12k. Today I saw a blue motion GT on a local forecourt. I thought it looked very nice, missing the classic Gti tartan but still nice...

6R Gti wanted
I'm shopping around for a nice lowish mileage car, ideally not a white one as we already have a couple of white cars in family.
Must have the Bixenons option I'm afraid.
Probably 2012/13 year model based on budget.

Re: Essential extras on the Gti?
I can see why people do order new ones to their own spec!!!. Finding one with the desired spec is a nightmare. Its certainly not like finding a Ford Focus...........or a golf gti for that matter!!!

Just saying hello - Looking for a nice GTi
Ive just managed to get registered on here and dropping in to say hello. Im a would-be owner if I could find the right car. Im open to suggestions on spec but my baseline is: White 3 door 2012 model xenons/DRLs multi function steering wheel Im not totally clued up on other options and how worthwhile...
