Re: Re: Leather steering wheel retrofit
Why not one like this? Your airbag will fit and everything. :) http://www.bks-tuning.com/WebRoot/Store9/Shops/17141421/4DA6/0F5A/363E/F970/468B/C0A8/28BD/8252/GTD_lenkrad1.jpg No it won't ;) The plain leather and the plastic steering wheel share the same type of airbag, but the mfsw and gt(i) varia...

Re: Leather steering wheel retrofit
Orientalparts sells, as their name suggests, OEM Asia parts. So yes they are VW, but only for the Asia market.
Anyway a plain leather steering wheel will fit directly without any hassle.
Good luck with installing it!

Re: Re: Polo 6R Headlight Replacement
Those units are from the 'dectane' brand. This particular version isn't too bad if you like their looks ;) As far as I now this version of the dectane lamps doesn't have the regular dectane problems (of being aquariums and being badly engineerd). Just keep in mind that these units are set up for car...

Re: Multifunction computer display
Just let someone check for faultcodes in the bcm and report it to your dealer that it happened. That's the best thing to do, just make it the problem of the dealer/importer :p

Re: Hello to all and question about turbo please,
The shim only restricts the boost output for the turbo in lower revs, around 1500rpm when the turbo becomes noticeable. It used to give you a 'hard' kick when it took off and now it doesn't anymore. Because the kick could damage the engine internals as the boost could peak to high. We in the Netherl...

Re: 1.2 TDI - How many miles do you get on a full tank?
I get about 800 km (a bit over always) so it's safe to say 500 miles (if my converter converted it correctly)
I usually fill up with 39/40 liters.

Re: vw polo gti candy white
Will surely fit;)
It is quite a popular mod aswell here in the netherlands.
The carbon bit isn't actually an oem bit, but an aftermarket one from rieger for the gti;)
So just search for a normal gti rearbumper and than try to find a used rieger diffuser for the bumper:)

Re: Bi-Xenon LED headlights
It's not the shipping fees it's the taxes we pay on imports that is completely insane  Aah like that! I didn't knew that  Anyway, don't give up hope yet, since there already are people out there who made these adapters by themselves, so you could look into that for an option ;) But in th...

As promised, the rewire scheme: http://www.polo6rfreunde.de/images/EigeneBilder/g49as1h3p7jh.jpg But it turns out that I had forgoten that this scheme was a rewire of the golf 6 xenon adapters. Anyway, this is the link to the company Imwas referring to earlier: http://www.kunset.de/products/de/VW-Lo...

Re: Re: Bi-Xenon LED headlights
Because in SA that would cost more than the actual headlights Because in SA that would cost more than the actual headlights For this reason exactly. Seriously?! Hasn't kunset or kufatec got a 'normal' shipping fee for that? I mean, if I would order a set of adapters from kunset, than it wou...

Re: Greg's Candy White 1.2 TDI Match
Going to be a lovely car! Over at our dutch forum candy white is really popular, so a lot of those can be seen there ;) About the bits, my suggestion would be a 'chip' tune as the standard 75hp isn't much fun. I drive a 1.2TDI as well and it was tuned to about 100hp (haven't done a dyno test) and it...

You could also try adapters that are made for retrofitting OEM xenons to halogen wired cars.

Re: Tuning a TDI
Just saw this thread and yes I also have a 1.2TDI, a slowmotion as it's called in the netherlands :P I also tuned it via a box and it now does about 100/105 hp with about 230 nm, drives a lot nicer than stock  As I read about the box you bought (and ofcourse checked out the link) I immediat...
