Okay thanks for the help Alex, think im going to go with the alpine just because of the physical preset radio buttons on the bottom.

If im fitting an aftermarket head unit what else do i need to buy to fit it?
(ie. aerial booster and wiring harnesses)

Picking up some focals for my 6n2 tomorrow so i've decided its probably time to upgrade the headunit too, done a fair bit of research and narrowed it down to this alpine cde-175r

My only issue is that there arn't many/ any reviews ...

Just bought the honeycomb fog and lower grills for the polo, anyone got any advice on removing and fitting the middle lower grill as i've heard its a little tricky,
andddd the one i bought dosent have much in the way of the clips left on it so whats the best method for getting it to hold in place ...

Front door cards are finally in!
Possibly first with window winders to have gti door cards? (probably not)

Pair of red angel eye headlights with indicators off my VW Polo 6n2 (mk5) for sale.

Used but still in good condition, offside indicator has slight condensation inside the casing but not noticeable when on the car and could be cleaned easily.
Includes all the necessary bulbs, plug & play fitting so ...

Fitted the new headlights this morning, think they look really good with the carbon effect badge and colour of the car!

Once again didn't get around to working on the car this weekend, ended up helping the girlfriend fix a noisy exhaust, pretty chuffed with our handywork using a tin of heniz some exhaust glue and a jubilee clip! Can't imagine it will pass the mot, but more than adequate until she can afford a new ...

Which aero blades are those? I unfortunately have valeo blades and the hook sits really high
They were relatively cheap ones from eBay, I'll edit in the link in a few hours when I'm on my laptop :)

Only really minor changes today, not finished yet coz im going to iceland on monday! Got new headlights on the way but had to replace indicator bulb which as always more difficult than expected.

Okay cheers (: as long as their able to run without an amp thats great, can always invest in one if i feel the need for more noise!

So im looking into buying some focal 165a1 component speakers to replace the standard door speakers & tweeters on my 6n2, my question is, will i need an amp to power them or will the power from a new headunit (45-50w) be sufficient as they recommend normal power of 60w, know a lot of people on here ...

Yeah looked at the kenwood you have/had too but i quite liked the lcd on the alpine hu's. Only insured as a learner so its not too bad, hopefully i'll get insured as 2nd or 3rd driver when i pass to will keep the costs somewhat manageable!

And i thought the match models were only 1.4? does that ...
