Verification that the engine/motor oil is genuine.

I bought two bottles/containers/jugs/cans of the recommended long-life 4L engine oil (according to geographic area) for future maintenance intervals (with sludge cleaning) and checked its authenticity.

As you know, a few weeks ago, I replaced the fuel filter. This wonderful morning, I added a bottle of Liqui Moly 2522 (Injection Reiniger) right before fueling up.

Since I'll be working on the rear torsion-beam axle to remove the rear springs to apply additional anti-noise measures, I'll remove the connecting bolt between the torsion beam and the headlight range control sensor, thus avoiding damage to the sensor's lever assembly.

Re: Resealing or re-lensing LED headlights

Fun fact for everyone here:
Have you ever noticed that we call that flat plastic a 'lens' (which literally means 'lentil' in Latin 🍲) even though it refracts zero light?
On a Polo 6C with reflector LEDs, that 'lens' is basically a high-tech Tupperware lid keeping the rain out. Modern German ...

Ibiza 6j pre-facelift has H7x2 lamps and yet when I turn on the high beams the low beams go out and only the high beams light up like in H4 lamps, how can I solve this problem?

In response to your private message (please use your forum thread to share with everyone, thank you).

Hi Hiroki

First of all, we want to thank you for trusting the knowledge of this forum. We feel flattered, but to be completely honest, you’ve brought a NASA-level engineering query to a place where we are usually busy arguing about which engine oil is better or how to change a cabin filter ...

Hi.
Here's some well-documented information regarding heated steering wheels for the PQ25 (use a translator if needed):

This information is a bit older, and some part numbers might not be the same. There have been subsequent modifications to improve other ...

In Byte 10, change Band 1 :

If current value: [VO]_EU_Band_III-N.
Change the value to: [VO]_EU_Band_III ...UK...

Other checks:

Antenna Power Supply (Byte 12):

This is only correct if your car has factory-installed DAB ...

Re: Polo 6R alarm randomly going off in the middle of the night.

On the other hand, perhaps it's precisely the recent battery replacement—which is literally brand spanking new—that's causing the alarm to go off randomly.

Let me explain:
New batteries have been in warehouses, in stores and on shelves for a while before their sale, which means their state of ...

Re: 2011 6R 1.2 Polo - Power Steering Issue

The donor car's pump is compatible, but the electronics (MOSFET) may be good or bad.
A fresh Autoscan is necessary for correct coding (ABS? ESP?, etc...) and to be able to provide output tests if/in case of VCDS/diagnostic tool has included them.

The fact that Specified Pump Speed increases when ...

Re: anyone knows how to get this? (the little cap on antenna)

Have you tried searching for DAB stations on your MIB2 and saving them to the DAB presets?
Read the user manual (if you need it to save the stations) and double-check that the DAB antenna connectors are securely attached, loose connectors (because they aren't the exact originals) or poorly fitted ...
