INSURING WITH ESURE
I'm due to pick up my car tomorrow first thing and wanted to put through a change of car with my current insurance provider, Esure.
Annoyingly, the Facelift GTI's are not available to select, only the older models with less PS, and as my new registration plate hasn't registered ...

Re: Any one ordered the new facelift GTI?
Question re: the facelift version - am I going to need to get a Faraday pouch for my keys?
I test drove a facelift version at the weekend and know I didn't have to put the key in the ignition to start the car. But I don't know if the car also unlocked as I approached or if it was already open.

Re: Polo GTI Facelift - replace dash inserts
By way of update, VW quoted just over £1000 for replacement panels
For getting it wrapped somewhere locally, I think it's going to be around the £300 mark. Which still sounds pretty expensive but not something I'm sure I'd feel confident doing myself!

Re: Polo GTI Facelift - replace dash inserts
We all have different likes. Find the grey dull dull dull . Love my red dash, it lifts what is the usual dour VW interior.
I actually didn't mind the matt pinky red colour in the pre facelift version but I'm having an allergic reaction to the tone and shiny'ness of the facelift gloss red ...

Re: Polo GTI Facelift - replace dash inserts
I'm researching vinyl wraps now as an alternative - might be the best and most reasonably priced solution! Any reason not to do?

Re: Polo GTI Facelift - replace dash inserts
I'll report back. If it's crazy expensive, maybe we can just swapsies!lancslad1985 wrote: Sun Nov 20, 2022 6:21 pm Ah the irony, my current one is reef blue with the red dash and I love the interior. My replacement has the grey dash which I find meh. If you find a way to replace it I’d be interested as I’d like to swap mine.

Polo GTI Facelift - replace dash inserts
Hi,
I seem to have just bought a new Facelift GTI. Started off the day thinking I was buying a 3 year old model, and somehow ended up buying new
I had to select one from current stock and the one I preferred (white with black roof) had the new red gloss dash, which I *really* dislike ...

GTI - options for easing firm ride + adding CarPlay
Hi,
Recently bought a December 2016 GTI. Enjoying the car performance but looking to improve general usability in a couple of areas:
1. FIRM RIDE
Having had 3 Polo BlueGTs, I'm finding the GTI noticeably firmer, to the extent I'd like to understand if I can soften the ride a bit. Would anyone have ...

Re: Gear stick extension
I just bought a 2016 GTI and too notice the unusually short gear stick, which is somewhat uncomfortable to reach for. Was there a solution to the OP’s question?

Re: 2018 Polo NEW SHAPE
I put through a quote on Orange Wheels and a VW dealer in Chester tried to explain the situation. I think the gist of it was that the Orange Wheels website is fed by CAP, and CAP had likely entered expected residual values, thereby allowing a purchase price to be calculated. The latest info he had ...

I see the French site has more models - and their configurator actually includes the black roof options. Can’t decide if I like it or not!

I see the SEL has now appeared on the UK VW site (from £18,130): http://www.volkswagen.co.uk/new/polo-nf ... !#overview and the GTI has appeared on the German site (from €23,950): https://www.volkswagen.de/de/models/polo-gti.html

Re: Polo Blue GT
Road noise doesn't bother me but then I'm on my 5th Polo so I'm not used to having something more refined!
