Re: MFSW Retrofit help
Did you need any of the other items or is your polo Dsg equipped as I am led to believe that this is a much easier fit as it does not require column loom and extra control unit?

Re: Polo Blue GT
In my experience, Tune2Air can link to the Polo Bluetooth Bury car kit and the mdi at the same time. It does not instantly play unless you are on mdi aux in on the head unit and it does display track names and detail from the iphone. I don't know the answers to your other questions but I hope that m...

Re: Polo Blue GT
Also, Blue Silk touch up paint is available from VW dealers at around £6.20. I have recently purchased one due to the standard car park scuffs that some folk like to inflict on other peoples cars, plus the delight of stone chips that now seem unavoidable no matter how or where you drive!

Re: Polo Blue GT
Currently on 5100 miles and first service due in March. Car runs well but when cold can be noisy on 2 cyl mode. I have started using branded fuel rather than supermarket and in my opinion this has helped a bit in making 2 cyl mode run smoother. Things fitted since purchase are alloy pedals, rcd510 d...

Re: MFSW Retrofit help
Recently had this done on a Blue GT. I Needed button set from eBay or VW part number 5KO 998 537B and steering wheel control unit 5KO 959 542. I also required a Mfsw wiring loom that was provided by Hazzy Dayz ltd who were the company that came out to fit the items. This was completed in around an h...

Re: Steel wheels for winter tyres - GTI
Not that it matters but the Polo GT alloy, Montani, is 7J x 17 with an offset of ET 46. This is on the inside face of the wheel. Info only!

Re: Steel wheels for winter tyres - GTI
Typical, VW UK taking the safe option and advising that not all 15" wheels will fit whilst VW Germany tell you exactly which wheels to use for winter!

Re: Steel wheels for winter tyres - GTI
Yes, 7 x 16 ET46 Syenit genuine VW Polo 6R wheels from eBay. Due to the larger brake set up on GTI and Blue GT, VW UK advised that me that not all 15" alloys could be guaranteed to fit. Plus, winter tyres in UK are not studded as found in Scandinavian countries so whilst narrower tyres are pref...

Vag-Com/Vcds user in Stafford area.
If any forum folk know of someone with Vcds local to Stafford area who would be willing to code the Mph large display function on a Polo Blue GT 2013 model then please get in touch as the local "specialist" garages say that it cannot be done. I will gladly pay for your inconvenience/time w...

Re: Steel wheels for winter tyres - GTI
On my Blue GT which runs on 215 40 x 17 as standard on a 17" alloy, I have approached VW who suggested for a 16" winter wheel, to run the size as used on a Polo standard 16" wheel. So I have purchased 215 45 x 16 from Oponeo tyres (online sales) and bought the Pirelli Sotto Zero. That...

Re: Winter tyres...
I used winter tyres on a Golf Mk6 GTI last winter and put them on late October and took off in May, mainly because of the continued cold weather. They work best below 7 degrees C so as soon as the weather starts to drop below this then they are in their prime.
Hope this helps

Re: Polo Blue GT
Had an ECU update on Polo Blue GT today, just part of open campaign, not a recall. To correct a fuel measurement issue so the technician told me.
