As you said it was a bit of a dodgy build, was wondering what DSG box they put in yours. The original DQ200 one with the separate D and S mode, or the updated one with the D/S mode in the same selector position, with the option to flick up or down between the 2 modes? Are you finding ...

Re: Polo Blue GT
Hi Brad,
What do you have a 3 door or 5 door?
I have had so many issues with my blue GT that i was ready to leave VW, the quality of the build was so poor. The rusting ball joints on the suspension steering arm was the final straw, not fitted properly from factory i was told. This caused the ...

Re: Polo Blue GT
Hi folks, I'm about to buy a new blue GT but just having second thoughts given the price. Is everyone still happy with there cars? I would like some reassurance that I'm doing the right thing. Currently drive Mk 5 Golf GTi with DSG, now looking for smaller more economical car. Your thoughts would ...

Re: DSG recall. Heads up.
I've been told by my dealership ( in the uk) that they checked my gt dsg serial no. against info they had from VW and it doesn't require a recall.

Re: Paint sealant / polish - detailing
Yes it is a lot but worth it if you spent all that money on a respray? You can start with one or 2 products and work your way up. Like the sealant and a spray wax, then just use the spray wax until you think it deserves a coat of wax… but never put sealant over wax. You must always apply sealant to ...

Re: Paint sealant / polish - detailing
Yep I second what Alex says.
Run your fingers over the paint when it has settled and if any containments, then clay the paint first, polish, seal then wax. If it is as smooth as glass then straight to sealant and wax.
Things like :
dodo juice born slippy and zaino Z18 clay bar,
lime prime ...

Re: Polo Blue GT
I have a DSG version. I recently had a manual version from the dealer for a few days and the difference is quite something.
Manual- Quieter in 2 cylinder mode by far! It is ever so slight.
Quieter brakes.
Good pull in 2 and 3rd gear.
DSG- 2 cylinder mode, flutter is a bit too audible for my ...

Faye,
Are you on the right info display? I leave it on the fuel consumption as that is where it displays for me. If you leave it on range, speed, radio, etc it won't show.

Re: Polo WRC Edition - Would you fall for it?
I can't see VW doing a car for the masses tbh. They would want to keep the model exclusive to 2500 models.
Besides, if I had £30,000 to spend on a car, it would be on a Golf R, certainly not a polo!
My uncle has one and it is seriously quick (standard btw), only the other day, he went racing an BMW ...

It looks better from this angle...
Yes I agree best angle is profile and the blue callipers set it off. I hope they update the design of the bi-xenons LEDs on future polos as they just don't look 'finished' and bit tacky ...

Re: Polo Blue GT
If any of these covers fit and do make a difference to the noise levels coming from the change from 2 to 4 cylinder mode then i'd defo get them. I have to say as more time passes I am noticing the 'flutter' more esp when you are at that point of just going on from applying a light throttle and it ...

My Bury kit is still in its box in the boot! I stumped up the cash and had the Bluetooth fully integrated into the stereo / instrument cluster

Looking good!
Mines in the garage, was entertaining driving back trying to keep the bunch of flowers the dealer gave me upright..
Busy weekend (son's birthday tomorrow), mine might not come out til Monday..
