Re: HELP regarding AIRBAG RECALL
At vehicle inspection centers, there are engineers who, for a fee, can certify your current airbag (GTI...) if you need to prove it is valid for road use... that's what I meant if you have problems obtaining registration permits or other matters.
Since there is currently a high number of ...

Re: HELP regarding AIRBAG RECALL
What I gather from your words is that you replaced the factory standard steering wheel and airbag with a Sport GTI/BlueGT/Scirocco model, right?
Up to this point everyone is happy.
-To find out if the Sport steering wheel airbag is affected, you need its part number and can ask the AI ...

Re: HELP regarding AIRBAG RECALL
If you already have a safe and functional airbag (not a problematic Takata), why would you want a new airbag for a steering wheel you no longer have?
It makes no sense for either you or VW.
Or perhaps you'd prefer VW to lose money unnecessarily? And we leave this planet in an even worse state ...

Re: Replace Key Battery Message
Retali maybe after removing the earth lead, switch on the ignition and maybe even the headlights in an attempt to drain down/out any/all stored charge in the controllers that might be keeping them "alive" for this short period of "battery disconnection", as staying "alive" could leave them holding ...

Re: Replace Key Battery Message
I used to use genuine Panasonic batteries until I discovered Maxell.
The physical store didn't have Panasonic, so I was forced to buy another brand, a blister pack of Maxell, they are supreme!
Worked perfectly for the 6R and various remote control models, and also for the Golf 7.5, which is quite ...

Re: Replace Key Battery Message
I've always done what VW Group marques do and that is always only ever fit Panasonic batteries, might use Duracell elsewhere as in small torches/flashlights, but never in car keys.
Renata, is that not just a brand that gives you what you have paid, which is not a lot?
I read in other places ...

Re: P0172 running rich
I measured fuel pressure as 4500kPa then switched the engine off. Switched ignition back on so the obd dongle had power. The pressure slowly increased to 10000kPa and was still going up when I restarted and pressure immediately dropped back to 4500kPa. So what is this telling me?
according to ...

Re: P0172 running rich
2010 tsi with CBZB engine. The engine light is on and I get code P0172, running rich. It can't be that rich as it runs fine and gets 56mpg. So far I've changed air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs and first oxygen sensor with no luck. I'm using the free version of Car Scanner on my phone. If I ...

03F 198 725 C is the part number of the repair kit. not sure about the 11.5/10 thing though.
Thank you iichel , i thought this part number is only suitable for vehicles manufactured after 2011 ?
