Re: Polo 1.4 upgrade to bluegt worth it?

I can't comment about the upgrade as I went from a Peugeot 207 Gti to the Polo.
I had the ACT go within the warranty period and the car was off the road a good few months whilst it was sourced from the factory. The dealer have been OK as dealer's go.

That said since then (touch wood) it's ran fine ...

Winter wheels & tyres - BlueGT

I was hoping people could report back on their winter tyre set up having used one set last winter. Admittedly the UK winter wasn't anything to write home about last year, but we're looking to fit some to mine shortly (I didn't bother last year).

Interested in wheels and tyres options, there's an ...

Re: Polo Blue GT

Finally got mine back last Friday after it being off the road for a month...

On one of my trips to Gloucester I noticed the ACT not kicking in, then the start stop didn't work in traffic (no crossed through A symbol as you'd expect). Turned engine on and off and it said start stop error. Anyway ...

BlueGT Camshaft part :(

Couple of weeks ago my Oct 13 BlueGT suffered a weird issue whereby the 2cyl didn't kick in and the start/stop refused to work. This appeared to be a one off during a 2 hour drive to a meeting. On the way home after being sat for a few hours it was fine. However after 5 years of knowing my pug ...

Life signed away this afternoon :)

And so the wait begins! 'Grats on your purchase. I went to this from a 207gti, the engine is completely different to drive but it's a good compromise for me especially as my job has changed and I'm on the motorway more. My biggest gripe is I'd wish the seat went lower - and I'm a 5'2" woman lol ...

I have gone from driving a Honda Civic Type-R Mugen200 which was drinking fuel so the MPG difference is very refreshing.
Come road tax renewal you'll be happy too!

Re: Polo Blue GT

Phil,
Tune2air looks like something I could do with.. A couple of questions, if you know?

The reviews on amazon hint it starts playing music from the iPod interface as soon as it's connected. Is that the case?

Secondly do you know if it will pair to two devices?

I'd like to be able to listen to ...

Re: Polo Blue GT

Hi folks, I'm about to buy a new blue GT but just having second thoughts given the price. Is everyone still happy with there cars? I would like some reassurance that I'm doing the right thing. Currently drive Mk 5 Golf GTi with DSG, now looking for smaller more economical car. Your thoughts would ...

Re: Polo Blue GT

The Mk 5 Golf is the same way. You can't open other than the door you exit the vehicle through. I personally think that the autolock is one of the worst inventions ever in the history if the Automobile.

It was useful on every other car we've owned and also husband's BMW now. I guess I expected ...

Re: Is the Polo GT much more economical than the GTI?

Can we include the road tax (at least in the UK) as an extra plus for the GT? :D

I seem to be running at around 50mpg either on 70mile motorway trips or my commute to work on single carriageway roads.

Trouble is now mine is at about 1400 miles, i've notionally worn it in (whether you need to not ...

Re: Polo Blue GT

Mine went in for the auto door locking at the weekend, I'm hoping someone can clarify if it's now set up right..
Basically when I'm on my own I get out and open the drivers door, i can't open the doors/boot until I use the remote to unlock them. Every other car i've owned unlocks all the doors/boot ...

Re: Polo Blue GT

Idiot question - does putting a super bright bulb in make the fuses more likely to go pop?

Still have a stash of one lot given the pug wipers would pop all the time..
