Re: 2014 spec. BlueGT finally here :)
proud to say i've just collected by new 2014 bluegt in black! I must say i do find myself getting frustrated with the on/off 'eco' mode and how inconsistent it seems to be and i consider myself to be a relatively smooth driver and not heavy on the accelerator. I've only managed to get late 40's and...

Re: Chrome Exhaust tips for blue GT
Skoda Yeti tail pipe trims from eBay at about £24.99 for the two will also fit. You do need to remove two of the four internal clips but this is easy with pliers. This maybe the cheapest option for anyone who is interested. The seller on eBay is a Skoda dealer called Caffyns. So these should fit: h...

Re: DRL's on new Blue GT
Excellent. Thanks you Martin, let's hope it's the same in the UK. Any UK Blue GT owners out there can confirm please ? Bit late but here goes, my 2014 pre facelift BlueGT has DRL's in the foglight cluster, they come on with the ignition and only go off when you put sidelight and main beam on. They ...

Re: My 1.2 TSi 6C
It'll need to be offset. PM me - this thread is getting cluttered lol Quick update, i ordered LED BAU15S DRL bulbs from ebay, the ones with offset pins, took the foglight cluster apart to fit them....they don't fit. (Broke the new bulbs anyway trying to make them fit - doh)! The factory fitted DRL ...

Re: My 1.2 TSi 6C
Apologies for hijacking this thread...! My final post on this subject is a bit of bulb info I found: Bulb types 1156-BA15S/P21W and 1157-BAY15D/P215W are mainly used for brake, fog, indicator and reverse light functions. The difference between 1156/BA15S & 1157/BAY15D is that 1157/BAY15D is a du...

Re: My 1.2 TSi 6C
Well this has me totally confused now, seen many led bulbs some canbus some not, some BA15S and some BAU15S - all say 1156 though. The U means something to do with the offset apparently. Will the BA15S (no U) fit correctly?

After browsing a few interesting items, do I need to worry about CANBUS error compatibility or not....?

Re: My 1.2 TSi 6C
The older polo model DRL bulb is specified as a 7507, which is a PY21W or 581 bulb respectively. 21W bulb with offset pins http://www.ecstuning.com/ES252650/ Aha! getting closer! Most of the 7507's bulbs & LED's i've found seem to be designed as sidelights or taillights as they come in red, amb...

Re: My 1.2 TSi 6C
If it takes the same bulb type, yes Good question, the manual that came with the BlueGT gives H4 and H7 as possibilities on headlight bulbs, not very specific to my actual car...(although i'm guessing it's H7) What's the name of the VW software that gives specific details? I'm interested in finding...

Standard bulb sizing is a 21W T20 or 7440 wedge bulb http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WHITE-7-5W-HID-CREE-LED-DRL-LIGHT-BULBS-580-7443-7440-T20-4500K-15-SMD-CANBUS-/261480583941?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3ce1751305 Would do the job nicely :D I take it this fits the 6R with DRL in t...

Re: BlueGT engine bay airbox
Stick with the OEM filter setup, have you seen how much muck those panel filters and induction kit filters let into the engine? They also show little to no performance gain at all. Don't want one for performance, just the beefier induction noise. The past 3 induction kits I have had in 3 different ...

BlueGT engine bay airbox
For the purpose of finding a compatible Induction Kit, do any of the other models in the polo range share the engine/ancillary layout with the BlueGT? Specifically the airbox and air pipe locations, if so, maybe an induction kit for that model will physically fit under the BlueGT bonnet? Otherwise t...
