Re: Silver or Anthracite?
Preston VW (Lookers). They have an automatic one that's done 5000 miles in Blue silk with parking sensors, sat nav and a couple of other options and a manual Blue silk that's done 2 miles with tinted windows, anthracite alloys, folding door mirrors and xenons. If the car is to the spec I want I'm ha...

Re: Silver or Anthracite?
My dealership has two, a demo car and one in the showroom. Just have to wait for the salesman I use to get back from his Xmas hols now to get my order in and find if a stock car exists or if it needs building. Really hope it isn't the latter as I couldn't take a three or four month wait!

Re: Silver or Anthracite?
Right decision made as I saw a Blue Silk with Anthracite yesterday and it looks good. Thanks everyone for the help, I will of course post pics when I eventually get it. The wait is killing me ![Sad :(](./images/smilies/icon_sad.gif)

Re: Silver or Anthracite?
The anthracite colour is high gloss and nowhere near as dark as I've seen other 'anthracite' wheels done, I got mine in this colour mainly to hide a little of the brake dust between cleans, but overall it is a great colour - not too dark and not too bright :) Am I right in remembering you got the b...

Re: Silver or Anthracite?
Looks nice! I do like it in white with black wheels, but I also like the Blue colour. At least I've got two and a half weeks to make a decision before my preferred salesman is in!

Silver or Anthracite?
After a lot of consideration I'm going with the BlueGT over the Scirocco and can't wait to order it in Jan. I'd like some advice from those that have the Blue Silk version - which looks better, Silver or Anthracite wheels? Obviously if I got white I'd get anthracite and if I got Black I'd get silver...

Re: BlueGT Drivers, what kind of mileage are you getting?
Are the DSG owners here getting better mpg than the manual or vice versa? Obviously this depends on how heavy your right foot is! After speaking to my stealership last night they confirmed I only need a very small deposit to change from my golf S to a Blue GT so I'm going to be ordering in Jan and w...

Re: BlueGT Drivers, what kind of mileage are you getting?
I got 57.8mpg when I picked my car up from the dealers in Nuneaton and drove it all the way home on the M6,M74 and M8 to Edinburgh with the cruise set at 65mph most of the way, was impressed at the time. Now around 47mpg running on a mix of city, A, B roads and dual carriageways, probably more real...

Re: Auto lights question
Is this not just your daylight running lights? That'll be why your display is brighter when your lights are set to on. My DRL are almost as bright as my dipped beams!

Just flick the dial round to the symbol and job's a good 'un. Just don't forget to turn them back off or you might see your economy suffer!
