Re: Start-stop Problems

That first message means that start stop is disabled because the engine needs to be running when you have aircon on. I don't have a Polo with Start/Stop, but our A3 (2012 MY) start stop doesn't work when the car has just been started and there is a heavy load on the systems, as you'd expect. But, i...

Any BlueGT high mileage drivers

Hi All. Due to change my car in the next 12 months and on the list is the BlueGT (in fact it's my favourite). I've posted here before but I have one question - I do 24,000 miles a year and want to know if anyone else that does high mileage has a BlueGT? Not for economy or fuel cost, that doesn't bot...

Re: My new BlueGT (150ps)

So basically ignore the shift indicator to keep the car in ACT mode?

Re: 2014 spec. BlueGT finally here :)

My other half has a 2012 polo (non BlueGT) and both her car, my golf, my dads golf, my mates passat, etc all mist up when it's raining. They also all let water drip in if you put your window down after it's rained. You may also find if you use your rear screenwash it dribbles out afterwards sometime...

Re: New Polo - Issue with Composition Media System

I've had this issue with my golf sometimes. Switching the engine on and off at the ignition always seems to fix it. Switching the bluetooth on and off on my iphone works too.

Pretty good! I do 300 miles a week just to work and back :( Though my golf does 680 miles a tank on average :D

Re: 2014 spec. BlueGT finally here :)

Ah that's where having a diesel is the opposite - when it's busy it suffers but the minute it's clear the mpg soars up

Re: 2014 spec. BlueGT finally here :)

How on earth do you get any mpg on the m60 puggy? I don't get any until the m61 because it's always crawling along!

Re: 2014 spec. BlueGT finally here :)

Hmm I just don't really see what advantage you'd get from a 2.0 TDI, its barely even more economical than the 1.4 TSI and is the same tax band. The polo would be quicker, but the tdi is 9mpg better and with the mileage I do I'd imagine it'd age better too. The ACT is too new to have any high mileag...

Re: 2014 spec. BlueGT finally here :)

Ibiza and A1 are offered with the 2.0 TDI so its definitely possible on this chassis. Engine doesn't suit the car very well though, its a hell of a lot of weight over the front wheels compared to the small capacity petrol engines. Performance and handling is as a result compromised. I really like t...

Re: 2014 spec. BlueGT finally here :)

They did a 1.6 tdi in the last version but it was only the 90ps one. Can't understand why they've never put a faster diesel in the polo, it's just too slow!

Re: DRL's on new Blue GT

Having sat in the 2013 model of the BlueGT I can confirm the standard interior is fantastic. Pictures don't do it justice. When I look at changing my car I'd certainly consider the BlueGT with standard interior, not a fan of Alcantara. Shame it doesn't come in leather.

Re: 2014 spec. BlueGT finally here :)

Hi nry. Beautiful car, very jealous! I REALLY want one - was offered one last year by the dealer but ended up with a 1.6tdi golf instead. Don't get me wrong, I love my golf but it's slow in comparison and the polo looks fun. I'm curious how firm the ride is on the BlueGT? This is one area my golf e...

Re: 2014 spec. BlueGT finally here :)

No doubt a diesel would have been better for me, but at £20 a year car tax and the economy meaning my fuel bill is identical to my old LPG Astra, that ticked my boxes :) The power is addictive, ,very addictive, and the other factor in my decision to go for the BlueGT was for this reason alone. Gett...

Re: 2014 spec. BlueGT finally here :)

Yeah the suspension is fine for daily use, in honesty I'd prefer it a bit stiffer, there's an oodle of twitchiness out of corners which I cured on my old car with some decent shocks... Overall it's a good balance for most drivers I would say. Cheers. Just need to convice myself about the economy no...
