OK so the BlueGT has the ACT cylinder deactivation feature. It is advertised that it switches between 2 and 4 cylinder modes imperceptibly. I would hope it is not exactly in gear as such, maybe neutral or the clutch is not engaged, and the ECU and DSG will have to figure between them when the revs are right, the clutch is engaged and the brakes are released.

The thing is, if the BlueGT DSG behaved the same as the Scirocco DSG, I would not be posting here at all.
