Re: 1.2 TSI Rattle

Is it loud? I had some sporadic rattles at acceleration and certain revs, sometimes quite severe.

Turned out it was the well known fuel lines. Try them by lowering the plastic shield underneath the car on the front right side. Good luck in the search.

Re: MFSW Retro Fit

How about the airbag for us with the left spoke MFSW and want to upgrade to the "Full right+left GTI MFSW"? This discussion has been up before, but with the non-MFSW airbag not being compatible with the GTI steering wheel. My question then: Does a left spoke MFSW airbag work with a GTI ste...

How old is your car? I would bet on either Daves binding caliper idea or wheel alignment.

Re: 6R Cruise Control Retrofit Problems

Hi Robert,

Would anything from Elsawin help (circuit diagram, service/repair guides) or ETOS (part numbers)? I've got access, tell me if you need anything. And thanks for the PM response!

Wow, are you installing the OEM front parking system? How are you planning to drill the holes? I'm very curious and jealous :D

Re: 6R - Multifunction Steering Wheel Retrofit

Thank you very much Der Finne for a great DIY!

How about us who already have a standard left spoke mfsw, do we only need the coding when retrofitting a GTI steering wheel?
Thanks in advance :D

Re: What MPG do you actually get from your 1.2 TSI 105??

I've used a great app called Road Trip to put in all my fill-ups. My Polo average 6,51 L/100 km or 43 MPG with 90% city driving. Managed to get 51.1 MPG with a big roof box on a distance of 1300km, which is great compared to my previous cars. The car is a 1.2TSI 105 with DSG and I think the engine i...

Re: Mudflaps

Yes there are two different versions of mudflaps. I would strongly recommend the short version. I'm scratching the bottom of the long front mudflaps everytime I go over a speed bump faster than walking pace, and driving down a curb.

6C Control Stalk in 6R

Hi everyone! I've just bought my first VW - a Polo 1.2 TSI DSG GT. The time has come to retrofit cruise control and after getting a loaner 6C during the DSG recall I found the new control stalk much better looking/feeling. Does anyone know if the 6C control stalk is similar or identical in wiring to...

Re: Winter wheels & tyres - BlueGT

What kind of winter conditions are you expecting where you live? I think all comes down to that. For example, here in Sweden we often have a lot of snow and ice which makes "nordic" winter tires like the Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2 the best choice.
