Re: BSR Remap now supports BLueGT 6C as well as 6R

Same price as a remap which puts me off, especially after the issues with dtuk. However if it is a map I may be tempted

Re: BSR Remap now supports BLueGT 6C as well as 6R

Is this basically a new map that's uploaded? I see they do one for the 1.2 tsi. Not that impressed with my dtuk tbh and it's just sitting chucked in a box. If this is a map then it should be better as it adjust/ monitors more than the dtuk box

Had same problem. Don't think there's a lot that can be done. I got one of these from halfords. Works a treat

Re: POLO 1.2 as a first car?

Get the 1.2 Tsi the insurance shouldn't be much difference. 1.4 is an OLD engine and the 1.2 is sluggish if you do anything other than town driving so I would avoid it myself. Iv got the 1.2 Tsi and it's perfect mix for all round driving and cheap to run.

Re: Polo 1.0tsi 110

Email forge Motorsport they will no doubt have a dump valve in the works at some point. Air filter, if your after a panel filter k&n or piper cross will have one more than likely at some point. With the engine being pretty new will be a bit of a wait. Exhaust would be custom job if your looking ...

Advice needed

Right ordered my lowering springs and plan on fitting at weekend. Any good tips on fitting them, heard the fronts are a little tricky? Is it just case of removing scuttle panel 3 bolts at top and couple at the bottom and pulling the strut out?

Re: Axle Stands

For me it's cheaper to get from Awesome and I need some H & R springs so will order together. Last time I jacked the car up it looked like the sills would crumble so a worth while investment to save damage

Re: Axle Stands

Im guessing you mean these? These fit straight on the polo then? Would save bending the sills everytime I jack the car up

Re: Coilovers ?

I've been looking myself at cheap coilovers. If going cheap go for FK as they seem to have decent reviews with price in mind. Only problem I've found when looking is that cheap coilovers have little to no corrosion protection so will rust. And in the UK that isn't good. So I'm going to stick with ge...

Re: Axle Stands

Last time I jacked my car up I thought the points were made of cheese. Don't have axle stands so my life is in the hands of the jack and vw build quality  need to lower the car so could do with knowing myself where to put some stands

Springs vs coilovers

Right I'm about to order some springs, H&R with the 40mm drop at rear. Don't think the Eibachs drop the rear enough tbh. However Iv seen some FK coilovers for £200 with mixed reviews and AP coilovers for £450. I don't do many miles a year so do I really need coilovers, and if I do are FK or AP g...

Re: Dampers and Wheels Thoughts.. :)

I'm still weighing up springs or coil overs. AP do some cheap kits rated highly. Not sure if they do just dampers or just coil overs tho may be worth a look. Awesome Gti do ST stuff as well
