The rain sensor is fine, that will work without a problem. It's the BCM that is your main concern. You'll need to replace that and wire it accordingly to have the benefits of automatic lights.

As far as the Quadlock goes, i'm pretty sure the MDI will connect to the wires that the AUX will connect to as well. So you can have both, but you'll need to re-route the Aux to the MDI.
Then it will work fine.

Without knowing the exact error code, it's virutally impossible to even send you roughly in the correct direction.
If an error code is present and 'active', it will very often stop the stop/start system from working.

I think you can connect as suggested. Not sure it needs any other wiring.
