Re: Valeo or OE?

The quality is a bit hard to judge from a computer screen, but I'd personally get the Valeo, yes.

Re: Opinions on this dashcam installation

I think that looks pretty horrible and amateurish. Why didn't they take the normal rubber tube that goes to the bootlid?

Re: Headlights on

It's probably to meet the regulations for DRL in a cheap way. These are the so called (in German) Dauerfahrlight, continuous running lights. Depending on your car and its equipment, it's either a VCDS option or a wiring change. If your car has a start/stop system, it's a VCDS change. If your car doe...

Valeo and Hella are both OEM for these headlights.

I haven't driven a petrol car myself, so no first-hand experience, but this video could be useful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uMYAEtxiYfc

Re: iichels Polo 6R 1.2TDI Bluemotion --> OEM++ R-Line conversion

Haha no, it means I'm in 4th gear (by the looks of it) and it wants me to upshift in to 5th.
Ever since the update for the emissions scandal, this arrow comes in ridiculously fast.
Sometimes it wants me to go uphill at 50 kph in 5th (about 1000 rpm).

Yes it could be the plugs. Perhaps you can take them out for a visual inspection?

Re: 18 plate polo with no problems to date!

I'm sorry to hear about your problems. To be honest, I haven't read up with the AW forum so I wasn't aware of your issues.
I hope you'll be able to get it all sorted on a brand new car.

Re: iichels Polo 6R 1.2TDI Bluemotion --> OEM++ R-Line conversion

Does the SW SW 0709 offer more than just RKDS? :?: I have older SW (SW0608, HWH05, 18.09.2014), but I don't want to screw up my instrument cluster :D I'm not sure what else it offers. HBA will work just fine on earlier software version. I saw from earlier posts that 0709 seems to be the minimum htt...

Re: iichels Polo 6R 1.2TDI Bluemotion --> OEM++ R-Line conversion

Did some wiring today for the heated windshield... Still need to buy the windshield, but I was in the mood to prepare something. https://i.imgur.com/xMnrJMx.png I only prepared the left side of the diagram. Since I ran out of fuse places, I decided to add a fuse carrier to the relay box: 6Q0937617B ...
