the main sizes of power cable are:

8awg - enough for a small amp e.g. 2 channel running speakers

4awg - recommended for most 'everyday' applications e.g. 4 channel running speakers and sub

2awg - for bigger amps that need a bit more power

0awg (aka 1awg) - for the 'big boys' e.g. big mono amps ...

For example, if you amp has 2x30amp fuses, I would fuse the power cable at approx 40/50 amps, if you add another of the same amp I would use an 80 amp fuse.

Now this is wrong... voltage drops the longer and thicker is the cable. Rather use 5-10A bigger fuse or the same the amp has. Never smaller ...

gauge (aka AWG) is cable thickness, in general, the thicker a cable is the more current it can take down it.

power cable should be fused within 18" of the battery it is connected to, so you should fuse the power cable a little under what the amps are fused at.

as a rule of thumb:

sealed - can handle more power, usually 'tighter' bass, usually drop lower, easier to build, easier to 'get right'.

ported - more efficient (go louder with less volume), can be tuned to specific frequencies, if designed and built right, can sound awesome!!!

bandpass - dont ...

yep, thats right, but you get 10 pieces of it!

flashing doesn't quite do the same job. is cheaper for a reason, it's not as good.

I used it on my last car and will never use it again.

It's not as sticky as dynamat and dynamat extreme. and you need to use a lot more of it to get the same results.

Erskine (EFMAX) is a legend, he designs some of the best boxes, I used to have one of his designs for my old kicker solobaric, the only reason why I havent had another is because of space constraints!

Erskine is a really nice bloke aswell, I have had the pleasure of meeting him quite a few times ...

IMO its not worth modding the engine, the insurance will go up for very minimal gain.

with the mods you are looking at, prob going to spend around £1k, your insurance will prob go up around £100 a year at least and you will prob only get at the most 20bhp more,

much better to save the money ...

that page is just for the headlight trims, the actual grille is £115
