Anyone else heard of this program? i shall find out la...

Hello from San Antonio

Greetings from Ibiza.I know it wouldn't be everyone's choice, but i'm here none the less. I'm not used to coming here at this time of year, and it's too darn hot, and there's no breeze either.Temperature is well over 100 degrees, and the humidity is waaay high  Still, it's a break from the uk,...

As a general rule, most 6x9's run far better off an amp, as they have relatively low sensitivity. There are exceptions, but we don't all have Focal 6x9's now, do we? :P

yes, sounds like you have a bad earth for your system - move it to a better place, or sandpaper your current earthing point for a better contact 8) It may also be that your RCA wires are shot, if you are using them. This happened to me, when the shielding on my RCA's parted company, allowing huge am...

My amp has a Switched Mode PSU to create its own 100V that it uses for the output stage. Thus voltage drop on the input wire doesn't affect sound quality unless the drop becomes very large. In fact, I stuck it on a lab power supply driving a 2Ohm load with a sine wave and proved that the power deli...

Greetings from Ibiza

Just thought i'd drop you all a note from san antonio, seeing as the hotel has just installed a pay as you go broadband system. Weather here has been "odd" to say the least, over the past few days. We've had 2 days of thunderstorms (which mysteriously disappear as it gets towards dark),and in...

Personally,I find the tuning of the VIBE boxes to be a little on the high side. This means they do produce more midbass.
As for subs....there is a world of subwooferage out there.Try looking on http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk

They have a large range, and also a forum where you can ask for advice.

Frankly, unless you are going to buy 6x9's off someone like Genesis,or Focal,i really wouldn't bother.Genesis do some very good 6x9 subs, believe it or not,and that does away with most of the noise issues.

The other thing to bear in mind,is that the crims know what a stealth shelf looks like, and they are as much of an invitation,as 6x9's fitted to a standard shelf.

Funny,I've had problems with the RAC too, although my membership was through my car insurance. The clutch packed up on mine, travelling down the M1,and it took them 4 hours to get anyone out to me.hey wouldn't even look at the car,so i was towed home instead.Annoying really....I was on my way to a roll...

That's the one.Incidentally,it's one of the few combo units I can recommend....those VIBE ones they sell at Halfords are pure cack.I'm not just saying that...they are poorly designed, and the boxes are tuned far too high for decent usage. All you get out of them,is pure noise, not music.

Probably better off getting some 6x9s and putting them on the shelf. NO NO NO NO NO.Nobody is ever better off getting 6x9's for any reason at all.The are the ice answer to cockroaches....persistent,and undesirable. Most 6x9's are horrendously poor pieces of engineering, designed for the type of pers...
