I phoned VW today and my car is due for the recall! So if the clutch is buggered then at least it's getting fixed under warranty! Whoo!

Am going to phone the recal helpline and see if the recal is applicable to my car or not? Thanks for all the help. I'll get back to yous regarding the recall.Cheers

I agree with Gargoil on the point that they are very expensive to run. I've had 2 a X plate UK turbo 2000 in Mica Red and a UK on a Y plate WRX Prodrive in deep blu Mica. Thier in fife, dalgetybay! Just across the bridge in edinburgh. It would be interesting to find out how much it would cost and so firth.

How expensive are thse to replace and do you know what part actually breaks? Does a new clutch cable help to prevent this?cheers
